  • Publication number: 20180083427
Abstract: Described is a device (410) for use in removing a conveyance member from a material. The device (410) includes a displacement element (412) for being placed at least partly around a conveyance member and for displacing material as the device is advanced along a conveyance member. The device (410) also includes a driven component for receiving a driving force for driving the device through material. The device can include a coupling element (418) for coupling the device to a shaft and a material loosener (414) including a drilling element. • Publication number: 20180053279
Abstract: Techniques for providing enhanced graphics in a user interface by efficiently using enhanced graphics resources. A computing device displays the enhanced graphics in an upper view of the user interface and the enhanced graphics resources identify a visual region in which the enhanced graphics are positioned. The computing device accesses the enhanced graphics resources to identify and store a hit test region based on the visual region. The hit test region is stored separately from the enhanced graphics resources for hit testing. When a hit is received in the user interface, the computing device determines whether the upper view or lower view will respond to the hit based on the hit test region that is stored separately from the enhanced graphics resources.

  • Publication number: 20170322126
Abstract: An on-demand vapour generator includes a vapour chamber configured to produce a vapour and a vapour absorption assembly configured to receive flows of vapour from the vapour chamber. The vapour absorption assembly includes a first vapour-permeable passage having a passage outlet and at least one second vapour-permeable passage that is closed. When vapour absorption assembly receives a flow of vapour front the vapour chamber, the flow of vapour passes through the first vapour-permeable passage to the passage outlet at least substantially without absorption of vapour from the flow of vapour. However, when a flow of vapour is not received from the vapour chamber, vapour entering the vapour absorption assembly from the vapour chamber passes into the first vapour-permeable passage and the at least one second vapour-permeable passage and is at least substantially absorbed.

  • Patent number: 9696932
Abstract: Guaranteeing space availability for thin devices includes reserving space without committing, or fully pre-allocating, the space to specific thin device ranges. Space may be held in reserve for a particular set of thin devices and consumed as needed by those thin devices. The system guards user-critical devices from running out of space, for example due to a “rogue device” scenario in which one device allocates an excessive amount of space. The system uses a reservation entity, to which a thin device may subscribe, which reserves space for the thin device without allocating that space before it is need to service an I/O request.
