  • Publication number: 20220048042
Abstract: The invention provides a material feed process for magnetically separating magnetic and non-magnetic particles from a material feed by means of a magnetic roller separator wherein the process is characterised therein that particle separation is independent of centrifugal force, and where the process can equally well be applied to both wet and dry particle separation. The process specifically provides feeding the particles at an incident zone above the horizontal axis centre line, and separating the magnetic and non-magnetic particles at opposite rotational sides of the roller.

  • Patent number: 11151356
Abstract: Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) of a set of CNNs are evaluated using a test set of images (electron micrographs) associated with a selected particle type. A preferred CNN is selected based on the evaluation and used for processing electron micrographs of test samples. The test set of images can be obtained by manual selection or generated using a model of the selected particle type. Upon selection of images using the preferred CNN in processing additional electron micrographs, the selected images can be added to a training set or used as an additional training set to retrain the preferred CNN. In some examples, only selected layers of the preferred CNN are retrained. In other examples, two dimensional projections of based on particles of similar structure are used for CNN training or retraining.

  • Publication number: 20210266182
Abstract: A path is secured from one node to another node of the computing environment. The one node obtains a first encryption key and a second encryption key. A shared key is obtained by the one node from a key server, and the shared key is used to encrypt a message. The encrypted message includes the first encryption key and the second encryption key. The encrypted message and an identifier of the shared key is sent from the one node to the other node, and a response message is received by the one node. The response message at least provides an indication that the other node received the encrypted message and obtained the shared key.

  • Publication number: 20210251971
Abstract: The present invention provides methods to determine whether a patient with a lysosomal storage disorder will benefit from treatment with a specific pharmacological chaperone. The present invention exemplifies an in vitro method for determining ?-galactosidase A responsiveness to a pharmacological chaperone such as 1-deoxygalactonojirimycin in a cell line expressing a mutant from of ?-galactosidase A. The invention also provides a method for diagnosing Fabry disease in patients suspected of having Fabry disease.

  • Patent number: 11088829
Abstract: A path for a node of a computing environment is secured. The securing includes obtaining, by the node, a message that includes an identifier of a shared key and an encrypted message, the encrypted message including a first encryption key, a second encryption key, one or more first parameters and one or more second parameters. The node obtains the shared key from a key server and uses it to decrypt the encrypted message to obtain the first encryption key, the second encryption key, the one or more first parameters and the one or more second parameters. A second security parameters index, to be associated with the second encryption key and the one or more second parameters, is obtained. The node sends a response message to another node, the response message including the second security parameters index.

  • Patent number: 11038671
Abstract: Authentication is performed on a plurality of links to be used to couple one node of the computing environment and another node of the computing environment. The performing authentication includes obtaining, by the other node from the one node via one link of the plurality of links, an identifier of a shared key maintained by a key server. The other node uses the identifier to obtain the shared key from the key server. An indication that the other node decrypted a message received from the one node using the shared key is sent from the other node via the one link. The sending the indication on one or more other links of the plurality of links is repeated for subsequent messages decrypted by the other node using the shared key previously obtained.

  • Publication number: 20210088770
Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing artificial intelligence to determine the pose of a sample within a microscope system and aligning said sample are disclosed. An example method includes receiving an image of the sample in the microscope apparatus, accessing a template associated with the sample. The template describes a plurality of template key points of the template version of the sample. A plurality of key points on the sample are then determined, where each of the key points on the sample corresponds to a corresponding template key point of a sample template, and the key points are subsequently used to determine a transformation between the sample as depicted in the image and the template version of the sample as described in the template. The transformation can then be used to automate the alignment of the sample within the microscope.
