    Abstract: There is provided a wood pellet burner assembly for a wood pellet boiler, not shown. There is a fixed and easily removable fuel apertured grate mounted above and spaced apart from a base wall forming part of a main support enclosure. A movable scraper subassembly carrying an apertured flame tube is provided which can be moved in and out of the main support enclosure to perform a scraping action on the fixed fuel apertured grate to deliver ash and clinker which have not fallen through the grate during combustion off the grate out of the main support enclosure. This cleaning operation can be carried out at suitable preset time intervals.

    Abstract: A method for producing holograms with a multiplicity of holographic prescriptions from a single master is provided. A multiplicity of holographic substrates each having a first hologram is stacked on a second holographic recording medium substrate. The first hologram is designed to diffract light from a first direction into a second direction. When expose to illumination from the first direction zero order and diffracted light from each first hologram interfere in the second holographic recording medium substrate forming a second hologram. The second hologram is then copied into a third holographic recording medium substrate to provide the final copy hologram.

    Abstract: A marine threat monitoring and defense system and method protects a target vessel in icy or other marine regions. The system uses communications, user interfaces, and data sources to identify marine obstacles (e.g., icebergs, ice floes, pack ice, etc.) near a target vessel performing set operations (e.g., a stationed structure performing drilling or production operations or a seismic survey vessel performing exploration operations with a planned route). The system monitors positions of these identified marine obstacles over time relative to the target vessel and predicts any potential threats. When a threat is predicted, the system plans deployment of support vessels, beacons, and the like to respond to the threat. For example, the system can direct a support vessel to divert the path or break up ice threatening the target vessel.

    Abstract: Two computing devices utilizing remote direct memory access establish a send ring buffer on a sending computer and a receive ring buffer on a receiving computer that mirror one another. A message is copied into the ring buffer on the sending computer and a write edge pointer is updated to identify its end. The message is copied, by the sending computer, from its ring buffer into a ring buffer on the receiving computer. A process executing thereon periodically checks, at its write edge pointer, and, upon detecting the new message's header, it updates the location identified by the write edge pointer. Once the new message is copied out of the ring buffer at the receiving computer, a trailing edge pointer is updated and a process executing at the sending computer monitors the trailing edge pointer of the receiving computer and updates its own trailing edge pointer accordingly.
