  • Determination of variations of wave characteristics

    Abstract: A processor for a quick measurement of statistically significant variations f the characteristics of a signal in the presence of noise wherein the processor measures the variance of a wave parameter such as the time period of the signal. The processor also measures the signal-to-noise ratio from which the variance of the time period of the signal is calculated. A comparison of the measured and the calculated values of the variance of the time period thus gives information about the small variations in the characteristics of the signal.
