  • Publication number: 20240056226
Abstract: A network of access points (AP) in a high-density environment may be provided. A number of packet transmission retries for one or more of the AP may be determined by setting a number, m, of retries for transmitting a data packet, where m is the upper limit of the number of retries. Data packets are then transmitted m times. Upon transmitting the data packet m times, a success probability SP(u,m) for transmission of the data packet, where u is the number of users, may be calculated. The transmission of the data packet may be repeated m?x times where x is an integer. Upon calculating the success probability for m?x times, a success probability SP(u,m?x) for transmission of the data packet may be calculated. If SP (u,m?x) is larger than SP(u,m) then x may be decreased by one and actions (b)-(f) may be repeated. If SP (u,m?x) is not larger than SP(u,m) then m?x may be set as the maximum number of retries for the data packet.

  • Patent number: 11886800
Abstract: A method includes detecting, in a written electronic communication, an input sentence satisfying a readability metric threshold, and processing, by a sentence transformer model responsive to the input sentence satisfying the readability metric threshold, the input sentence to output a suggested set of sentences. The method further includes evaluating the first suggested set of sentences along a set of acceptability criteria, and determining, based on the evaluating, that the set of acceptability criteria is satisfied. The method further includes modifying, based on determining that the set of acceptability criteria is satisfied, the written electronic communication with the suggested set of sentences to obtain a modified written electronic communication, and storing the modified written electronic communication.

  • Publication number: 20240023040
Abstract: Coordinated Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (C-OFDMA) in high density networks may be provided. A primary Access Point (AP) and a subordinate AP may be caused to use an omnidirectional antenna pattern during a synchronization period. Next, the primary AP and the subordinate AP may be caused to use an omnidirectional antenna pattern during a time in which the primary AP sends a subordinate Trigger Frame (TF) during a first C-OFDMA period. The primary AP and the subordinate AP may then be caused to use a directional antenna pattern during times in which the primary AP and the subordinate AP Uplink (UL) data during the first C-OFDMA period and Downlink (DL) data during the first C-OFDMA period.

  • Patent number: 11868589
Abstract: An apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores a data structure that includes an array of data blocks, each of which stores one or more strings of text of a document. The processor displays a sequence of elements, each associated with one or more consecutive data blocks of the array, and a sequence of parts, each corresponding to a data block and displaying the strings of text stored by the data block, on a GUI. The processor receives information identifying a modification of a first element, which is associated with a first data block, to which a first part corresponds. The modification is associated with an equivalent modification of the first part. The processor updates the sequence of elements according to the modification and the sequence of parts according to the equivalent modification. The processor converts the updated sequence of elements into an updated data structure.

  • Patent number: 11771564
Abstract: An implant is insertable in the joint space to separate bones of the joint. The implant has two endplates each configured to engage a separate articulating bone of the joint, and a threaded member positioned between the two endplates and configured to increase the space between the two endplates when the threaded member is rotated. A rotatable gear is engaged with the threaded member, and is engageable with a rotating gear of a connected implantation tool, so that rotation of the gear on the tool causes rotation of the threaded member and expansion of the implant to separate the bones. Connector portions on the tool and the implant may be rotated together to securely engage the implant and the tool so that the gears of the tool and the implant can be rotated using an actuator outside of the body, when the implant is inside the body.

  • Patent number: 11768945
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses may retrieve, from an industry standard setting scoring system and for a vulnerability, a temporal score based on a pre-revision version of a scoring system, and predict, based on a machine learning model and based on the temporal score for the vulnerability, an updated temporal score based on a post-revision version of the scoring system. A mitigating factor score, indicative of a mitigation applied to the vulnerability by an enterprise organization, may be determined. A risk score may be generated for each vulnerability, as a composite of the updated temporal score and the mitigating factor score. The risk scores for vulnerabilities in a collection of vulnerabilities may be aggregated to determine an enterprise risk score for the enterprise organization. In some instances, the enterprise risk score may be displayed via a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20230300138
Abstract: Methods are provided in which a network device hosts distinct network access resources that are managed by different entities. The method includes obtaining a request for partitioning one or more network resources of an on-premise network device for connecting one or more endpoints to a first network managed by a first entity. The on-premise network device connects one or more endpoints to a second network managed by a different entity. The method further involves partitioning, based on the request, the one or more network resources and connecting the one or more endpoints to the first network using the one or more network resources. The one or more network resources are managed by the first entity while at least one other network resource of the on-premise network device is managed by the different entity and is associated with connecting the one or more endpoints to the second network.

  • Publication number: 20230268650
Abstract: A system and methods by which a reconfigurable intelligent surface device is dynamically configured to control the reflection of transmissions made between an access point and one or more client devices so as to protect the transmissions from being properly received by an unauthorized device. These methods may be used to maintain data confidentiality, particular for remote workers. The positions of the access point and client devices are used to configure the reconfigurable intelligent surface device to reflect the transmissions inward and avoid/minimize leakage outside a physical space.
