Abstract: An aerial platform having motive devices for obtaining and maintaining loft of the aerial platform, the motive devices being pivotable relative to a wing of the aerial platform for aerial maneuvering of the aerial platform while generally maintaining stable disposition of the wing relative to the ground. The motive devices may include blades having selectively adjustable pitch for varying output force of respective motive devices. The aerial platform may further include one or more bladed turbines outwardly coupled to the wing and drivable by wind for generating power for the aerial platform. In some cases, the aerial platform may be tethered via a flexible power cable to a power source.

Abstract: A nasal splint comprising a turbinate retaining portion and securing system for securing the splint against the nasal septum and causing the turbinate retaining portion of the splint to retain the middle turbinate against the nasal septum. In operation, the nasal splint is placed inside the nose prior to performing endoscopic surgery. The splint is secured to the nasal septum so as to retain the middle turbinate against the nasal septum. Endoscopic surgery is then performed while still retaining the middle turbinate against the nasal septum.

Abstract: A system for indicating the deposit of mailing mailbox comprises a two channel transmitter positioned within a mailbox and a two channel receiver positioned within a household. The first channel of the system provides a means for indicating at the receiver the opening of the mailbox door (deposit of mail) and the second channel of the system provides a means for resetting the indication of a deposit of mail. The transmitter and receiver both have means for resetting the indication of a deposit of mail. The transmitter has a spring clip for attachment to the mailbox.
