    Abstract: An interlock device includes a housing and a toggle interlock mechanism with an extendable interlock pin. The interlock device also includes a preassembled switch, an electromechanical device, and a lead frame interconnecting the switch and electromechanical device. The lead frame conductors are formed as one piece, but are separated after assembly into the housing. The conductors and mating components include mating non-releasable contacts that telescope together in a manner that forms a robust assembly and that facilitates automation of the assembly process. A method related to the above is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A sensor for measuring torque and position of a shaft having an internal torsion bar. The sensor has a torque sensor, located in the housing and connected to the shaft. The torque sensor has a rotor in electrical contact with a first and second resistive track disposed on an opposed disc. A position sensor is located in the housing and is connected to the shaft. The position sensor has a third contactor mounted to the housing in electrical contact with a third resistive track located on the disc. Several electrical terminals are located in the housing and are electrically communicated with the contactors to provide an electrical signal indicative of the torque and position of the shaft to an external electrical circuit. A slip ring is attached between the rotor and the housing. The slip ring has a fourth and fifth contactor in contact with the torque sensor. The slip ring is adapted to electrically connect the torque sensor to the electrical terminals.

    Abstract: A kickdown mechanism provides a tactile feedback to the foot of a user depressing a vehicle pedal. The kickdown mechanism has a case and a plunger having a recess. The plunger is engaged by movement of the pedal so as to cause the plunger to travel linearly. A friction generating assembly is retained by the case and engages with the plunger so as to provide a tactile feedback to the user. The friction generating assembly has a rod that is retained by the case. The rod is biased into the recess such that the pedal, when depressed, urges the plunger from a first position in which the rod is located in the recess to a second position in which the rod is located outside the recess.

The bladder receives force from a surface 44 on a plunger member 42. The plunger member 42 moves with the nozzle dam securing pin 32 as it seats in socket 40. A manual toggle type action clamp 20 actuates the pin 32.

    Abstract: A pair of spaced parallel rollers are rotatably mounted in the base part of a casing. A drum is positioned on the rollers and extends therebetween in parallel relation therewith. A third roller is rotatably mounted in a hingedly affixed cover part of the casing and abuts the drum in spaced parallel relation with the pair of rollers when the casing is closed so that the drum is rotated about its axis by an electric motor mounted in the base part of the casing and coupled to one of the pair of rollers. One end of the drum is open and covered by a cover. A sleeve coaxially removably mounted inside the drum for rotation with the drum has a plurality of sharp cutting projections extending from its inner surface so that fruits and vegetables in the sleeve during rotation thereof are peeled by the projections.
