  • Patent number: 7070414
Abstract: An improved method for cleaning and sterilizing medical and dental instruments (16) employs the use of a banding device (10) to segregate and hold together medical or dental instruments (16) after use in a particular procedure. The banded instruments (16) are then cleaned and sterilized. This method essentially eliminates the time and effort formerly required when unsegregated instruments were mixed with other instruments for cleaning and sterilization and then stored according to the particular procedure for which they are intended and/or according to the intended particular user thereof.

  • Patent number: 5094820
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a housing, a curved wall surface on the housing and a tube compressor carried by the housing. A compressible tube, which defines at least a portion of the passage, is positioned between the curved wall surface and the tube compressor. The tube compressor is mounted on the housing for free radial movement relative to the curved wall surface and for rotational movement. The tube compressor can be releasably drivingly coupled to an external rotary input so that the tube compressor can be rolled along the tube to pump fluid in the tube.

  • Patent number: 4559040
Abstract: A chamber of a peristaltic pump is described wherein a segment of the stator is removed so that said chamber containing the rotor and resilient tube may be stored with the resilient tube not pinched by the eccentric rotor. When the chamber is to be used, a cap is snapped over the chamber which completes the missing segment of the stator and the rotor is engaged to the motor shaft. When the rotor turns in the stator with all segments snapped together, liquid is conducted from inlet to outlet ports.
