  • Publication number: 20180309585
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed towards a system and method for facilitating local data service via communication exchange system where, within an ecosystem of one or more operators, a gateway is deployed by an operator for facilitating local data services for users that either the operator's local subscriber and inbound roamer. The gateway connects to the operators via VPN tunnel to facilitate local data services. • Publication number: 20180146361
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a method and system for facilitating local data services for the users. The method involves detecting a location update message of a user at a gateway, where the gateway is part of a communication exchange system having an ecosystem of one or more HPMN and VPMN operators. The gateway further enables one or more of a real profile and a virtual profile in user's device to enable local data services for the user. The real and virtual profile are from a partner operator within the ecosystem of the HPMN and VPMN operators. The user's device has one or more of a soft-SIM, normal SIM, an embedded SIM, an interface, and a SIM applet.

  • Publication number: 20160295544
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for mobile communication where upon detecting a change in registration of a SIM device at a visited operator (VPMN), the SIM device's IMSI profile is switched to one of a HPMN IMSI profile or local IMSI profile of a hub operator. The hub operator is selected from a cloudSIM hub ecosystem, depending on the location of the SIM device and quality and regulatory requirements of the service associated with the SIM device. The cloudSIM hub allocates dynamic IMSI with either a partial IMSI profile or a full IMSI profile based on SIM device requirements. The full profile has security key information of HPMN or the VPMN, and the SIM device requirement can be from either a softSIM, an eSIM or a standard SIM.

  • Publication number: 20080102829
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for providing wireless services to a prepaid subscriber of an HPMN in a VPMN when the prepaid subscriber attempts to register at the VPMN having a non-WIN phase 2 support. The method includes detecting at a Signal Gateway (SG) coupled to the VPMN, a registration attempt by the prepaid subscriber at the VPMN. The method further includes causing by the SG, an HLR associated with the HPMN to send a trigger profile information in a registration acknowledgement message to the SG in response to a modified registration message, sent by the SG, so as to imitate the VPMN's roaming support for WIN phase 2 at the HLR having a WIN phase 2 support. Finally, the method includes sending a modified registration acknowledgement message by the SG, to a VMSC/VLR associated with the VPMN to facilitate the prepaid subscriber's mobile communication in the VPMN.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for providing wireless services to a prepaid subscriber of an HPMN in a VPMN when the prepaid subscriber attempts to register at the VPMN. The method includes detecting at a first Signal Gateway (SG) of one or more SGs, a registration attempt by the prepaid subscriber at the VPMN. The method further includes causing by the first SG, an HLR associated with the HPMN to send a trigger profile information in a registration acknowledgement message to the first SG in response to a modified registration message, sent by the first SG, so as to imitate the VPMN's roaming support for WIN phase 2 and the prepaid subscriber's registration attempt at the HPMN having a WIN phase 2 support. Finally, the method includes sending a modified registration acknowledgement message by the first SG, to a VMSC/VLR associated with the VPMN to facilitate the prepaid subscriber's mobile communication in the VPMN.

  • Publication number: 20070173252
Abstract: A system for controlling traffic of an inbound roaming mobile station between a first Visiting Public Mobile Network (VPMN), a second VPMN and a Home Public Mobile Network (HPMN) is provided. The system includes a detection unit for detecting a possible change in registration of the inbound roaming mobile station at a second VPMN upon receipt of a first registration cancellation message of one or more registration cancellation messages at the first VPMN from the HPMN. The system further includes redirection unit for attempting to redirect the traffic of the inbound roaming mobile station back to the first VPMN by sending one or more registration messages from the first VPMN to the HPMN subsequent to receipt of one or more registration cancellation messages from the HPMN. For each registration cancellation message received, one or more registration messages are sent within a first pre-defined interval of time (T0) until one registration message is recorded as a successful transaction.

  • Publication number: 20060252425
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for generating a Mobile Originating Customized Applications for Mobile network Enhanced Logic (CAMEL) Subscriber Information (MO-CSI) of an inbound roamer. The system includes a roamers database to store at least one inbound roamer record. The inbound roamer record comprises at least the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the inbound roamer. Further, the system includes a detection block to detect whether generation of the MO-CSI is required for the inbound roamer and a MO-CSI generation block to generate the MO-CSI of the inbound roamer based on at least a CAMEL phase supported by a Home Public Mobile Network (HPMN), if the generation of the MO-CSI is required. The system also includes a provisioning block to provision at least the generated MO-CSI at a Visited Public Mobile Network (VPMN) Visited Location Register (VLR).

  • Publication number: 20060246897
Abstract: A method and system for countering anti-traffic redirection of a roaming mobile station is provided. Observing registration messages exchanged between the visiting network and the home network, the disclosed invention detects if the visiting network has deployed an anti-traffic-redirection mechanism as aimed at fooling the home network into permitting connection with a non-preferred network. The invention also provides for a way to steer the roamer to reattempt connection with a preferred network.
