  • Patent number: 7007421
Abstract: A display assembly including a plurality of clips of resiliently flexible material, each of which clips has a rear portion, a front portion laying along a front surface of the rear portion, and an arcuate end portion joining ends of the rear and front portions and defining a passageway transverse of the front, rear, and end portions. A plurality of lengths of stretch release adhesive releasably adhere rear surfaces of the clips to a surface in a pattern determined by a person applying the display assembly; and at least one resiliently elastic cord is positioned to extend between the clips and through the passageways in the clips to form a web-like structure between the clips. The clips and cord are decoratively colored, so that the display assembly can be used only as a decorative assembly, or can be used to support one or more objects along the surface.

  • Patent number: 6248085
Abstract: An apparatus or kit for applying a predictable amount of liquid such as a surgical prepping solution to an applicator having a resilient, porous pad. The apparatus includes a receptacle having an internal space such that when the pad is placed within the space, the pad is compressed to a predetermined degree. The receptacle is attached to a bottle or other container holding surgical prepping solution. In one embodiment, a dip tube extends from an inlet near the bottom of the bottle to an outlet positioned within the internal space of the receptacle. Most preferably, the outlet extends into the internal space of the receptacle. Pressurizing the bottle dispenses liquid through the dip tube onto the applicator. A method of use of the kit or apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5634245
Abstract: A fastener having a first member and a second member, each member having structured surfaces thereon. The first member has two major surfaces oppositely disposed, at least a portion of each major surface having structured surfaces. The second member has at least one major surface having a structured surface. The first member is fastened to the second member when the two major surfaces of the first member are disposed between the structured surface of the second member and the elements of the structured surfaces bend and twist as well as frictionally adhere during attachment.

  • Patent number: 5347583
Abstract: A binaural electronic stethoscope adapted to receive auscultatory sounds from a body and adapted to transmit the auscultatory sounds to a user. A chestpiece is adapted to be utilized in cooperation with the body. An acoustical transducer cooperates with the chestpiece and receives auscultatory sounds and transforms the auscultatory sounds into an electrical input signal. A signal processor processes the electrical input signal to produce an electrical output signal. A first tubular member couples the chestpiece to a housing. A speaker is mounted within the housing and converts the electrical output signal into an acoustical output signal. Second and third tubular members are coupled to the housing and are acoustically coupled to the speaker. First and second earpieces are coupled to the second and third tubular members, respectively, and receive the acoustical output signal and provide the acoustical output signal to the user.
