  • Publication number: 20200021589
Abstract: Methods and systems for establishing a chain of relationships are disclosed. An identity verification platform receives a first request for registration comprising an identification of a first user, identification of an entity, and a relationship between the first user and the entity; verifies the identity of the first user and the relationship between the first user and the entity; and verifies that the entity is legitimate. Once a relationship between a first individual, invited by the first user, and the entity is confirmed, the platform creates a custom badge representing the relationship between the first individual and the entity for display on the entity's website. The platform receives an identification of a selection by an end user of the custom badge and, responsive to receiving the identification of the selection, renders, on a domain controlled by the identity verification platform, a verification that the relationship between the first individual and the entity is valid.

  • Publication number: 20190309485
Abstract: An interlocking paver system including polygon and spacer pavers. The polygon paver has a longitudinal axis extending from a first to a second side and a transverse axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and extending from a third to a fourth side. The spacer paver has a longitudinal axis extending from a first to a second side and a transverse axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and extending from a third to a fourth side. Both the polygon and spacer pavers are symmetrical about the longitudinal and transverse axes. The spacer paver is configured to selectively interlock with the polygon paver with either of the third or fourth side of the polygon paver adjacent either of the first or second side of the spacer paver and either of the first or second side of the polygon paver adjacent either of the third or fourth side of the spacer paver.

  • Patent number: 10428790
Abstract: A method of making an elongate wind turbine blade is described. The wind turbine blade extends longitudinally between a root end and a tip end in a spanwise direction, and the method comprises: (a) providing an elongate mould tool (20) extending longitudinally in a spanwise direction; (b) arranging an elongate spar structure (40) in the mould tool, the spar structure (40) N extending longitudinally in the spanwise direction; (c) arranging core material (24) adjacent to the spar structure (40); (d) providing resin-permeable material (114) between the spar structure (40) and the core material (24); and (e) administering resin into the mould during a resin infusion process. The resin-permeable material (114) restricts the flow of resin between the spar structure (40) and the core material (24) in the spanwise direction and thereby substantially prevents lock-offs from forming during the infusion process.

  • Publication number: 20190278504
Abstract: A data de-duplication in a distributed storage of data objects in a cluster system, in which plural data objects are distributed across a group of node apparatuses and stored in units of data blocks. Each metadata structure including a root metadata node and one or more direct metadata nodes, and optionally including one or more indirect metadata nodes; and a metadata object is stored for managing de-duplicated data blocks based on a metadata structure of the metadata object wherein at least one direct metadata node of the metadata structure of the metadata object includes a block reference pointing to a de-duplicated data block being associated with two or more data objects. Preferably, each of the metadata structures of the two or more data objects being associated with the de-duplicated data block includes a respective direct metadata node including an object reference to the metadata structure of the metadata object.

  • Publication number: 20190220454
Abstract: In a distributed storage of data objects in a cluster system, a data object is distributed across a group of node apparatuses in units of data blocks. For each child object, the metadata structure of the respective child object is stored to one of the node apparatuses of the group of node apparatuses for managing locations of data blocks of the data object and includes a root metadata node and one or more direct metadata nodes, optionally further including one or more indirect metadata nodes; and the metadata structure of the parent object is distributed across the plural node apparatuses of the group of node apparatuses for managing locations of child objects of the data object and includes, on each node apparatus of the group of node apparatuses, a root metadata node and one or more direct metadata nodes, optionally further including one or more indirect metadata nodes.

  • Publication number: 20190164298
Abstract: A system and method are provided for determining ball speed. The method comprises obtaining a video having a plurality of frames; analyzing each frame of the video to detect a position and a size of a ball moving through the frames; calculating the ball speed using the position and size determined from the frames, and a predetermined true size of the ball associated with the video; and outputting the speed of the ball. The analyzing can include applying operations of, background subtraction, noise removal, and motion filtering.

  • Patent number: 10296657
Abstract: This invention relates to query management. A query management method includes receiving a database query, generating an abstract syntax tree representation of the database path query into a set of java objects, and processing the abstract syntax tree representation of the database path query. The method further includes determining a selector upon processing the abstract syntax tree representation of the database path query and deriving a SELECT clause from the selector clause, where the SELECT clause indicates a portion of an expression from an XMeta Query Language (XMQL) query. The method yet further includes appending a FROM clause to the expression for the XMQL query, appending a WHERE clause to the expression for the XMQL query, and executing the expression for the XMQL query including the appended FROM clause and also the appended WHERE clause to access objects in an object repository.

  • Publication number: 20180328335
Abstract: A web locating device for locating a shear web at a predefined location on an inner surface of a wind turbine blade shell is described. The base comprises a base and a first guide structure. The base is for securing to the inner surface of the blade shell at a predefined position on the inner surface and the first guide structure projects from the base. The first guide structure has a first guide surface arranged to guide a mounting portion of the shear web towards the predefined location on the inner surface of the wind turbine blade shell. The base of the device includes one or more alignment features for aligning with one or more reference features at the predefined position on the inner surface of the blade shell. Also described are a wind turbine blade, and a method of making a wind turbine blade.

  • Publication number: 20180283349
Abstract: A method of making an elongate reinforcing structure, such as a shear web, for a wind turbine blade is described. The reinforcing structure comprises a longitudinally-extending web and a longitudinally-extending flange. The flange extends along a longitudinal edge of the web and is arranged transversely to the web. The method involves providing a flange structure comprising a flange portion, and a projecting portion that extends along the length of the flange portion and projects transversely from a surface of the flange portion. The projecting portion is bonded between laminate layers of the web. The flange structure is preferably a pultruded component having a T-shaped cross-section. The method allows a simple, inexpensive and reconfigurable mould tool to be used. In preferred embodiments the mould tool has a flat surface without sidewalls.

  • Publication number: 20180154593
Abstract: A method of making a composite wind turbine component in a mould is described. The method comprises the steps of: providing a mould; providing one or more first layers (20) of material; arranging the first layer(s) of material in the mould; arranging one or more second layers (20) of material on top of the first layer(s) to form a stack (22); and securing the second layer(s) to the first layer(s) by means of one or more fasteners (24). The steps of the method can be performed in any suitable order. The fasteners (24) each comprise a filament having a first retaining element at a first end and a second retaining element at a second end. To secure the second layer(s) to the first layer(s), the first retaining element of each fastener is inserted through the second layer(s) and the first layer(s) such that the first retaining element is located on one side of the stack and the second retaining element is located on the other side of the stack, with the filament extending through the stack (22).
