Abstract: An installation tray for installing screen protectors on mobile devices is formed from a paper pulp material. The paper pulp material used to form the installation tray can include a blend of sugar cane bagasse and bamboo. The installation tray can include a base structure and a lip. The base structure and lip can define an indentation for receiving a mobile device. The indentation can prevent movement of the mobile device during installation of the screen protector. The installation tray can further include a first pair of studs and a second pair of studs for aligning the screen protector with respect to a mobile device. The installation tray can be part of an assembly which includes a screen protector, installation accessories, and packaging components.

Abstract: A synthetic glass screen protector apparatus may include a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) layer. The apparatus may further include an A-B glue layer, where the A-B glue layer includes an optically clear adhesive sub-layer and a silicone adhesive sub-layer, and where the clear adhesive sub-layer is in direct contact with the silicone adhesive sub-layer, omitting any polyethylene terephthalate (PET) layer therebetween. A method for forming a synthetic glass screen protector apparatus may include forming an A-B glue layer by positioning an optically clear adhesive sub-layer in direct contact with a silicone adhesive sub-layer and attaching the A-B glue layer to a PMMA layer.

As the slider slides over the cell phone, the spool rotates to wind the backing layer around the spool to expose the screen protector. The lid properly positions and orients the screen protector over the mobile device. The lid is automatically lowered onto the base, and the screen protector is automatically lowered onto the mobile device, by movement of the first slider after the backing layer is removed.
