    Abstract: A 3/3-way valve with a control member received in a valve chamber is provided. The member, in three control positions, blocks a consumer opening and a relief opening (maintain pressure), connects the consumer opening with a supply opening and blocks the relief opening (increase pressure), and connects the consumer opening with the relief opening and blocks the supply opening (reduce pressure). To reduce manufacturing costs for a 3/3-way valve of this kind, two chamber sections delimited by the control member in the valve chamber are constantly connected with one another and the three openings are arranged at certain intervals apart from one another. The adjustment is made such that the control member in one control position covers the consumer opening and the relief opening, in another control position covers only the relief opening, and in another control position covers only the supply opening.

    Abstract: A protective device for a door gap between a door and a door frame in the body of an armored, specially protected vehicle. The device prevents projectile splinters from penetrating the interior of the vehicle, and is intended to reduce the door aperture as little as possible when the door is opened. For this purpose, partitions extend from the frame of the door into the door gap. As a result, the gap-covering armor that extends into the door opening area beyond the door frame when the door is opened has a relatively limited extent in the free door aperture area. One of the projectile-deflecting projections on the frame of the door is an anti-splinter strip mounted on the inside of the door and projecting into the door gap, said strip preventing the parts of a broken-up projectile from penetrating the interior of the vehicle and/or deflecting those parts that do penetrate into areas that are noncritical for the vehicle occupants.

The inside temperature within the housing of the device is merely measured and, on the basis of device-specific characteristics stored in an evaluation circuit, a permissible operating period assigned to the inside temperature is calculated. The permissible operating period is then used as a basis for the preset operating period cycle time.

    Abstract: An actuating drive for installation in a body of a motor vehicle, from whose housing an actuator guided therein can be retracted and extended through an exit opening. A mount is provided for attaching the housing to the body with the exit opening of the attached housing being supported at the edge on an edge of a body opening that can likewise be penetrated by the actuator. According to the invention, the housing is guided so as to be displaceable with respect to the mount to and fro along a displacement axis in the direction of movement of the actuator. A clamping device is provided for displacing the housing with respect to the mount along the displacement axis, by means of which the housing, which is supported on one side at least indirectly on the mount, can be clamped on the other side against the edge of the body opening.

This method and device ensures a better utilization of the electrical control switches, in that, an unlocking control switch assigned to the unlocking of the central locking system and the deactivation of the mechanical securing device is switched in addition to a locking control switch assigned to the locking of the central locking system. If the lock cylinder is pivoted in the locking direction beyond its regular locking position, the resultant joint switching state of the two switching control devices is evaluated to activate the mechanical securing device.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for the simple removal of liquid condensate, in particular of water of condensation, from compressed-air systems alternately subjected in operation to positive pressure and atmospheric pressure. The compressed-air system is first of all connected for a limited period, at intervals or after each subjection to positive pressure, to a vacuum generator in order to promote re-evaporation of the condensate and is evacuated by the latter before atmospheric pressure is passed in or let in again. In certain embodiments, a highly restricted reverse flow through the compressed-air system is permitted. The method is particularly suitable for use in small-volume compressed-air systems which do not have to be permanently subjected to positive pressure, e.g., in pneumatic door-closing aids for motor cars.

    Abstract: For starting a gasifier for the gasification of carbonaceous fuel with an oxygen-bearing gasification agent in a fluidized bed, the gasifier is filled with an inert gaseous medium and put under an increased pressure. After sealing integrity has been established, a combustible gas mixture is ignited in a combustion chamber connected to the lower part of the gasifier, by means of an ignition device which operates under pressure. The gas mixture is thus burnt, while the increased pressure in the gasifier is maintained, at least until the temperature within the gasifier corresponds to the gasification temperature. The arrangement for carrying the method into effect includes a pressure-resistant combustion chamber for combustion of the combustible gas mixture by means of the ignition device. The combustion chamber is connected at least at times to the lower part of the gasifier, by way of an openable slide member.
