Patent number: 11734073Abstract: System and methods for automatically scaling compute resources in a compute group. The method includes determining compute capacity required to complete job requests and determining allocable compute capacity available on the compute resources in the compute group. The method further includes calculating a utilization of the compute group based on the required compute capacity and allocable compute capacity and determining whether the calculated utilization is above a first threshold value or below a second threshold value; upon determining that the calculated utilization is above the first threshold value the method calculates a number of compute resources required to bring the utilization below the first threshold value and causes an increase in the number of compute resources in the compute group based on the calculated number. Upon determining that the calculated utilization falls below the second threshold value the method causes a reduction in the number of active compute resources.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2021Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Assignees: ATLASSIAN PTY LTD., ATLASSIAN US, INC.Inventors: Jacob Christopher Joseph Gonzalez, Alexander William Price, David Angot, Nicholas Young

Patent number: 11449350Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically removing and replacing outdated compute resources in a cluster. The systems and methods include a configurable monitoring system that is configured to detect outdated compute resources and trigger a cycling process to automatically replace the detected outdated compute resources with new compute resources. The disclosed systems and methods safely rotate a group of compute resources by identifying and detaching outdated compute resources, waiting until the outdated compute resources have been drained of pending jobs scheduled on these resources, waiting until replacement compute resources have started and then cordoning, draining, deleting and terminating the outdated compute resources.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2020Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignees: ATLASSIAN PTY LTD., ATLASSIAN US, INC.Inventors: Alexander William Price, Jacob Christopher Joseph Gonzalez, Matthew Neil Whittington

Publication number: 20200408422Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed of a radiator temperature control apparatus for controlling the heat output of a radiator. The radiator temperature control apparatus may include an airtight enclosure around the air outlet of the radiator air vent, an adjustable opening in the airtight enclosure controlled by an actuator, and a controller connected to the actuator. In operation, the controller can be configured to open the adjustable opening in the airtight enclosure allowing air in the radiator to be expelled through the adjustable opening, thereby allowing steam to enter the radiator, and heat the room. The controller can be configured to close the adjustable opening, stopping air from being expelled from the radiator, thereby stopping additional steam from entering the radiator.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2020Publication date: December 31, 2020Inventors: Pepin Gelardi, Joseph Gonzalez, Jingwen Zhu, Jackson Zhao, Jesse Klein, Andrew Staniforth

Patent number: 10744395Abstract: An athletic glove is provided, comprising a palm portion and a digit portion having a plurality of generally hollow digit sleeves extending from the palm portion. Each of the generally hollow digit sleeves is configured to generally confine a respective digit of a wearer. Spacers are provided between the generally hollow digit sleeves and generally maintain a predetermined abduction of the digits upon a relaxation of the wearer's hand, while generally permitting an adduction of the plurality of digits upon a predetermined adductive force exerted by the wearer. The spacers comprise a generally rigid member having a predetermined compressibility. The generally hollow digit sleeves may be closed or open at a distal end thereof. The palm portion may be a flexible fabric and a fitment apparatus selectively tightens the palm portion on a hand of the wearer. One or more padding portions may be further configured to distribute a force experienced by the wearer upon engagement with a ball.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2014Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Inventor: Joseph Gonzalez

Patent number: 10504236Abstract: A method of testing a battery includes causing a battery in a test environment to produce a fire having a flame that extends out from the battery, and capturing a digital image of a scene that includes at least a portion of a test environment and the flame, the digital image being formed using visible light. The method includes uploading the digital image to a computer configured to produce a quiver plot and identify points on the quiver plot that define a polygon that is an approximate outline of the flame. The computer is configured to determine dimensions of the polygon, and translate the dimensions from the quiver plot to the digital image, and from the digital image to dimensions of the flame in the scene. And the computer is configured to generate a displayable report that includes at least the dimensions of the flame.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2018Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Elizabeth Killelea, Joseph Gonzalez, Jan Wei Pan
