  • Publication number: 20240060796
Abstract: A magnetic sensor package comprising a magnetic multi-turn sensor die and a magnetic single turn sensor die, in which both sensor dies are packaged on the same lead frame. • Publication number: 20240019272
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a linear actuator apparatus, magnetic sensor system and method of use for detecting a position of a component driven by a rotatable mechanism in a linear direction. A magnetic sensing device comprising both a multi-turn (MT) sensor and a single turn (ST) sensor is provided within the same semiconductor package and placed in the vicinity of the rotatable mechanism. A magnet is mounted on the rotatable mechanism, such that, as the mechanism rotates, a rotating magnetic field is generated. The MT sensor measures the number of turns of the rotating magnetic field, which is translated to the number of turns of the rotatable mechanism. The ST sensor measures the angle of the rotating magnetic field, which is translated to an angular position of the rotatable mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11637482
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a magnetic sensor system for monitoring the position of the rotor relative to the stator for use in electronic motor commutation. The system uses two magnetic sensors with a back bias magnet, the magnetic sensors being configured to detect changes in the magnetic field direction caused by the magnetic field interacting with two moveable targets that are being rotated by the motor shaft. The unique phase shift between the signals measured at each sensor can thus be used to determine the relative position between the stator and the rotor. In this respect, the system makes use of the Nonius or Vernier principle to measure rotational displacement, however, the scale of the encoder is defined by the number of motor pole pairs.

  • Patent number: 11614341
Abstract: A system includes a magnetic sensor that can store a magnetic state associated with a number of accumulated turns of a magnetic target. The magnetic sensor may work in conjunction with a magnetic target. The magnetic target may produce a magnetic field that, at some positions, drops below a magnetic window of the magnetic sensor. The magnetic target may produce a magnetic field that is within the magnetic window when needed to update the magnetic state of the sensor to keep track of the accumulated turns of the magnetic target. The magnetic sensor may be initialized with one or more domain walls.

  • Patent number: 11248971
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to a magnetic sensor system for measuring any desired combination of measuring torque, rotation angle, and turn count of a shaft. The shaft may include two portions connected by a torsion element. The system can measure rotation angle using a magnetic target coupled to the shaft that produces a magnetic field that varies as a function of rotation angle. The system can measure torque applied to the shaft by measuring the difference in rotation angles between the two portions of the shaft and factoring in a torsion coefficient. The system can track a turn count of the shaft using a multi-turn sensor. The magnetic sensor system may be part of an electric power assisted steering (EPAS) system.

  • Patent number: 4918588
Abstract: An office automation system that provides for the incorporation of documents of all types by integrating images into the system. A minicomputer-based system includes applications such as word processing, data base, and mail, each of which can access image documents. Bulk storage of document images is provided using a variety of storage media such as microfilm, microfiche, and optical disks. An image access subsystem provides to each of the office automation applications uniform access to images stored on all of the media. The image access subsystem can use a hardward controller to handle some of the complexity of retrieval of images from the image storage devices. A relational data base system is used to organize the stored images so as to provide flexible access to the images and to isolate any effects of reconfiguration of the image storage system.

  • Patent number: 4059821
Abstract: An adapter unit converts a standard traffic controller system for operation to a pedestrian clearance mode where a DONT-WALK signal flashes during the interval when the green traffic signal is nearing the end of its period. The unit counts down line frequency to provide an on-off flash signal producing in the order of 55 flashes per minute and is interspersed in the connecting line between the standard controller switch and the pedestrian lamps. It operates with solid state circuits which are isolated from the controller's a-c voltage phases operating the traffic and pedestrian signal lamps.
