  • Publication number: 20020157099
Abstract: An enhanced television navigation service supplies Internet protocol (IP) content with broadcast television programming. The IP content is linked with the broadcast television programming and is presented to the viewer in an enhanced viewing mode. By linking the real time data in this fashion, the user can tune to a program based on information indicators presented by the service.

  • Patent number: 6293244
Abstract: A system for controlling a flow of pressurized oil in an internal combustion engine includes a cylinder head having a generally-flat external surface featuring a pressurized oil outlet and a pressurized oil inlet; and an oil flow control module including a generally-flat mating surface secured against the first surface of the cylinder head such that a first passage in the module places the outlet of the cylinder head in fluid communication with the inlet of the cylinder head. While the module's first passage minimally includes an oil restrictor, preferably, in a downstream portion thereof, the module preferably further includes a screen filter, and a spool valve operative to direct unrestricted oil flowing through the first passage into one of a plurality of fluid lines operatively connected to the cam phaser unit, whereupon the spool valve is used to variably advance or retard engine cam timing.

  • Patent number: 5903881
Abstract: A software product, computer implemented method, and system provide an integrated user interface having three simultaneously displayed items of information, including a list of transaction instructions, a list of uncleared transactions, and a list of cleared transactions. The simultaneous display, and interaction between the lists, provides for integration of various tasks separately associated with personal finance software products and with online banking products. Two account balances are also simultaneously displayed, a balance for cleared transactions, and a separate balance based on both cleared and uncleared transactions. The two balances provide the user with a complete view of the status of their account and available funds. The software product and system supports online bill payment, electronic funds transfer, and checkbook transactions, without requiring navigation through multiple, separate user interfaces for different modules of the product.

  • Patent number: 5678514
Abstract: A retainer for a retaining valve lifters in an internal combustion engine. The retainer has a plurality of valve lifter receiving sockets spaced along the length thereof for receiving the lifters. To secure the retainer in the engine, a resilient biasing element is attached to the retainer body such that when the cylinder head is mounted to the cylinder block, the resilient biasing element is flexed, thereby applying a normal force on the retainer to secure the retainer between the cylinder block and the cylinder head.
