    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments integrate a tee or valve into an outlet end fitting of a liquid chromatography column. The tee or valve is suitable for providing additional fluidic flow paths to ports of the end fitting and eliminates the need for post-column fluidic conduits connecting to tees or valves to insert fluidic inputs or divert flow to outputs. This integration decreases the distance that eluent from the liquid chromatography column has to travel to reach a detector relative to systems that use external tees or valves while providing tee/valve functionality and reducing the fluidic volume post-column. As a result, the exemplary embodiments help decrease sample dispersion.

The stop mechanism is configured to selectively prevent and allow movement of the carriage relative to the rail. The stop mechanism is configured to be independently operable from the actuator assembly, and the actuator is configured: to move a chromatography column received by the clamp assembly relative to the rail to create a first fluid tight seal between the chromatography column and the first fluidic assembly, and move the second fluidic assembly relative to the carriage body to create a second fluid tight seal between the second fluidic assembly and the chromatography column.

The removable seal is configured to be removably secured to at least one of the fluidic tube, a support feature fixed to the fluidic tube, and a compression screw, such that untightening of the compression screw from the receiver fitting causes the removable seal device to be removed from the receiver fitting.

A diffuser can be used, attached to one end of an extraction tube, in order to depressurize the CO2 and extract mixture as it exits the diffuser and enters the extraction collection container. A splash guard can also be attached to the extraction tube in order to block any splashing of extract while CO2 is allowed to vent from the extraction collection container.

    Abstract: A system for determining liquid level in containers. According to one embodiment, the system is configured for use with a single container. The system includes a tube having a distal branch and two proximal branches. The distal branch is sized to extend from inside the container to a remote location. One proximal branch is coupled to a pressure transducer for emitting a signal in response to the sensed fluid pressure head in the container, and the other proximal branch is coupled through a check valve to a gas displacement device used periodically to blow debris from the distal branch. A processor coupled to the transducer uses the fluid pressure head signal to determine the liquid level. A display coupled to the processor displays the determined liquid level. In another embodiment, the system may be used to determine the liquid level in any, some, or all of a plurality of containers.

    Abstract: An ambulatory assistance device includes a base having a set of wheels the base configured to at least partially surround a patient's body to provide a maximum level of support along all possible force vectors. The base includes ballast to lower the center of gravity of the ambulatory assistance device. Furthermore, the ambulatory assistance device includes a frame assembly having a handle extending from the base. The handle is disposed at a distance between about two inches and three inches proximal to the center of gravity of the unit. This positioning of the handle, in combination with the positioning of the wheels of the base provides the ambulatory assistance device with a substantially stable design.

The valve prosthesis includes a resilient ring, a plurality of leaflet membranes mounted with respect to the resilient ring, and a plurality of positioning elements movably mounted with respect to the flexible ring. The delivery system includes a first elongate element that terminates at the valve prosthesis and is manipulable by an operator to remotely rotate the positioning elements relative to the flexible ring. A second elongate element terminates at the valve prosthesis and is manipulable by an operator to remotely advance the valve prosthesis downward into an anatomical annulus.

The housing body holds the two or more conduits in alignment wherein the axis of each conduit is substantially parallel, and at least one end of each conduit is aligned about said first housing planar surface. And, the coupler has a cap element having a cap planar surface. The cap planar surface is fixed to the first housing planar surface in sealed engagement. At least one of the first housing planar surface and the cap planar surface has a channel in fluid communication with the opening in the conduits. The channel allows two or more fluid streams, each fluid stream defined by one of said conduits, to be placed in communication.
