  • Patent number: 7865784
Abstract: A write validation system that includes a first address signature collector module that generates a first address signature that is indicative of a write address of data when the data is received at a memory control module. A second address signature collector module generates a second address signature that is indicative of the write address of the data when the data is transferred from the memory control module. An address signature validation module receives the first address signature from the first address signature collector module, receives the second address signature from the second address signature collector module, and compares the first address signature to the second address signature.

  • Patent number: 7080188
Abstract: A system for an embedded disk controller is provided. The system includes a first main processor operationally coupled to a high performance bus; a second processor operationally coupled to a peripheral bus; a bridge that interfaces between the high performance and peripheral bus; an external bus controller coupled to the high performance bus and operationally coupled to external devices via an external bus interface; an interrupt controller module that can generate a fast interrupt to the first main processor; a history module coupled to the high performance and peripheral bus for monitoring bus activity; and a servo controller that is coupled to the second processor through a servo controller interface and provides real time servo controller information to the second processor. The second processor may be a digital signal processor that is operationally coupled to the first main processor through an interface.

  • Patent number: 5475815
Abstract: An apparatus for efficiently testing a plurality of memory devices at the board level. The logic for the present invention is minimal and can be placed on a controller chip within the board design. In addition, the interconnect lines between the controller chip and each of the plurality of memory devices can also be tested. Finally, the present invention requires minimal setup time and performs a functional test of the memories in a very short period of time.

  • Patent number: 4484270
Abstract: A centralized control unit for use in a multisystem data processing configuration to provide dynamic access to shared and non-shared peripheral subsystems is disclosed. This unit, known herein as a subsystem access unit (SAU) is able to remotely control one or more system's accessibility to peripheral subsystem's from a central location. It is able to provide this control with the capability of either allowing a peripheral subsystem to be concurrently accessed by more than one system or forcibly ensuring that the peripheral subsystem is exclusively accessible by only a single system.
