    Abstract: A knee brace includes a patella support pad positioned to engage a lateral edge of the patella. The brace is adapted to apply a medially directed force to the patella pad responsive to movements of the leg from a flexed to an extended condition, the force being progressively relieved from the pad as the leg moves from the extended to the flexed condition.
