    Abstract: An apparatus and method of use is provided for locally stabilizing an anastomotic site during a beating heart surgical procedure which includes occluding a section of the artery receiving the bypass graft vessel. An apparatus is provided to stabilize the epicardium and the operational field, and includes a platform that can be compressed onto the epicardium or tensioned by pulling the epicardium upwardly, thereby providing a stabilized operational field. At least one occluding member provides means to occlude the section of artery receiving the bypass graft vessel. An adjustable stabilizing arm can be used in conjunction with the platform to further provide stability to the epicardium during the beating heart bypass graft procedure.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for expanding a perivascular cavity at a surgical site includes an elongated retractor having a tip at the distal end for convenient insertion into a perivascular cavity, and having a slidable coupler near the proximal end for convenient coupling to an elevator element supported in a retractor frame. The elongated retractor supports an endoscope thereon to facilitate visualization of surrounding tissue during insertion into the perivascular cavity. With the retractor inserted in the cavity, the retractor frame is positioned on the skin in alignment with and straddling the cavity, and the elevator element is selectively coupled to the retractor to elevate the retractor relative to the base of the retractor frame, thereby to expand or distend the cavity to provide ample access to tissues and vessels for surgical manipulations within the cavity.

    Abstract: An electronic simulated tennis game is played on a gameboard which includes a matrix of multicolored light-emitting diodes scaled to resemble a tennis court. Each diode is positioned at a grid area and is illuminated to indicate ball and player positions. A keyboard is provided and competing players electronically enter their selected palying positions and the target positions for the ball. There is also provided a scoring display, switches to initiate play and light means which instructs the players as to points and movement results. This tennis game is played on a gameboard which is under the control of a programmed microcomputer which processes each player's inputs according to a simulated tennis game program and displays and computes the results of each player's selections on this gameboard and displays the results as to an error or a successful volley.

    Abstract: A mathematical gameboard implemented electronically for use in a variety of games having elements of chance and skill. The gameboard includes a plurality of keys having numerical values embossed thereon, but whose positive or negative value is unknown to the player. A randomizing circuit determines whether the number represented by the key pressed is positive or negative, the odds of a negative value increasing as the value of the key increases. Windows are provided to display a player's score and the number of plays he has made. Electronic circuits are provided to implement the use of the gameboard.
