Patent number: 8887554Abstract: Components of interest are captured on a resin column from a sample of exhaust gas from an operating vehicle. Makeup air is added to the residual exhaust gas flow exiting the resin column at a junction downstream of the resin column. Makeup air flow rate is determined using a laminar flow element and pressure and temperature gauges associated therewith. The sample and the makeup air are drawn together through a blower and the flow rate through the blower is calculated based on differential pressure across the blower and temperature of the gas drawn through the blower. The controller adjusts a proportional control valve in the makeup air line to regulate the sample flow rate, taken as the blower flow rate minus the makeup air flow rate, at a predetermined proportion of the exhaust gas flow rate.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2012Date of Patent: November 18, 2014Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection AgencyInventors: Lawrence James Sanchez, Joseph McDonald, Charles Schenk

Patent number: 7823739Abstract: A collapsible shipping container includes a floor, a roof, and a pair of bifolding sidewalls, that collapse accordion style to place the sidewalls and roof in a configuration wherein the roof is collapsed onto the sidewalls, and the sidewalls are collapsed onto the floor. The container further includes a pair of end walls having upper and lower end wall sections. The upper end wall sections may be lowered by activation of a power source to lie on the roof in the collapsed configuration. Collapse and erection of the shipping container may be accomplished with the aid of auxiliary equipment, such as a fork lift.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2006Date of Patent: November 2, 2010Assignee: C Cubed I LLCInventors: Howard Sidney Sadkin, Lawrence Alan Sadkin, Martin Jay Sadkin, Joseph McDonald Lowry, III, Thomas Richard Jones, Travis Robert Johnson, Thomas Ross Marmon, Thomas James Miller, Eric Christopher Schenck

Patent number: 7404544Abstract: A torque limiting clutch includes a drive shaft having central rotational axis, a disk-shaped spring member secured to the drive shaft for rotation therewith, and a plate adjacent the spring member and having a plurality of grooves receiving bosses of the spring member. The spring member has a plurality bosses formed at an outer edge of the spring member that each form a generally V-shaped engagement surface. The grooves each form a generally V-shaped engagement surface engaging the bosses. A retaining clip retains the plate relative to the spring member to obtain a predetermined spring pretension. Engagement of the bosses with the grooves causes rotation of the plate upon rotation of the drive shaft when below a predetermined torque limit and deflection of the bosses out of the grooves prevents rotation of the plate upon rotation of the drive shaft when above the predetermine torque.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2005Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignee: Dura Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: John Joseph McDonald, Bruce Daniel Kingsbury

Patent number: 7086664Abstract: A jack handle includes a handle arm having first and second ends, a jack driver having a coupling shaft, and a spring clip detachably securing the jack driver to the handle arm. The first end of the handle arm forms a socket receiving the coupling shaft. The spring clip has a protrusion resiliently deflectable between a locking position interlocking with the coupling shaft to secure the jack driver to the handle arm and a releasing position free of the coupling shaft such that the jack driver is released from the handle arm. Preferably, the spring clip encircles the periphery of the handle arm at the socket, the handle arm has an opening at the socket, and the protrusion of the clip extends through the opening and into the groove to interlock the jack driver with the handle arm.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2003Date of Patent: August 8, 2006Assignee: Dura Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Anthony P.
