  • Patent number: 8719174
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for collaborative and integrated intellectual property management are provided. The method includes defining a sequence of phases for an intellectual property management model. The phases are defined by task-based components in conjunction with a workflow component and a messaging component. The task-based components specify a sequence of tasks implemented for achieving a desired outcome for a respective phase and also specify at least one of a resource and a role assigned to implement one or more of the sequence of tasks. A portion of the task-based components interact and share information with others of the task-based components via the workflow component and messaging component, thereby integrating operations between respective task-based components and phases. The method also includes applying the intellectual property management model to a set of inputs associated with data corresponding to a request to protect a proposed idea or concept.

  • Patent number: 7552041
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for determining an optimal database refresh rate is provided. The method includes simulating a shopping system that includes a plurality of databases, the simulating including updating the plurality of databases in accordance with a database refresh rate. The method also includes repeating the simulating for each of a number of database refresh rates and calculating error rates for availability of product determinations resulting from each of the simulations. The method further includes estimating customer satisfaction levels for the error rates and comparing the customer satisfaction levels to corresponding costs of implementing database refreshes corresponding to each of the database refresh rates.

  • Publication number: 20080114634
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for determining availability and order scheduling of diverse products and services is provided. The method includes receiving an order with a plurality of element orders. The element orders are organized into one or more delivery groups. A first pass alignment date is determined for each element order, and the element orders are distributed to one or more scheduling applications in a first pass. The method also includes collecting a first pass response from the one or more scheduling applications, and the first pass response includes first pass element availability dates. The method further includes determining a second pass alignment date, including aligning the first pass element availability dates for the element orders in each delivery group, and communicating the second pass alignment date.

  • Patent number: 4588152
Abstract: A wire clamping clip for mounting on a stucco wall is constructed as a block member having a workpiece engaging surface and an exposed top surface. A recess is formed in the workpiece engaging surface for receiving a wire. A throughbore is formed in the block adjacent to the recess and a plastic bushing having a cross sectional dimension of the same shape and slightly smaller than the cross sectional dimension of the throughbore is positioned in the throughbore. A hardened pin with a sharpened end is slidingly received in a tight frictional engagement through the center of the plastic bushing and has an enlarged head for abutting against the top end of said bushing and having a length longer than said bushing so that its sharpened end extends beyond the lower end of said bushing.

  • Patent number: 4527312
Abstract: A stackable hinging printed circuit board support is provided, comprising an integral plastic molding. The support is provided with an intermediate notch and an adjacent wall section which is sufficiently thin as to permit flexing for pivoting of one printed circuit board away from another. The support has an upstanding circular segment pilot for fitting in a circular aperture of an overlying printed circuit board. The support has at its bottom a W prong structure dimensioned for insertion in a circular aperture of a printed circuit board so as to coact with the upstanding circular segment pilot of an underlying support to wedge the pilot in the aperture. The W prong of one support is received in a recess provided in the body of a subjacent support.

  • Patent number: 4427257
Abstract: An insulator is provided for an electrical terminal assembly including a first, relatively fixed terminal member and a second relatively movable terminal member removably connectable with said first terminal member and having at least one wire affixed thereto. This insulator comprises an integrally formed member of insulating material including a tubular sleeve for removably surroundingly engaging the assembly comprising the first terminal member connected with the second terminal member. A first end of the tubular sleeve is substantially open for permitting slidable movement of the tubular sleeve into surrounding engagement with the terminal assembly. A second end of the tubular sleeve includes a passageway for permitting passage therethrough of the second terminal member with the wire affixed thereto. Hence, the wire may be affixed to the second terminal member independently of attachment of the insulator to the terminal assembly.
