  • Publication number: 20240050137
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present disclosure relates to a system that includes a plate holder and an awl. The plate holder has a first end and a second end with an engagement feature at the second end that is engageable with a bone plate. The awl is releasably engaged to the plate holder and includes a locking mechanism adjustable from a first setting to a second setting and a tip. • Patent number: 11517452
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a housing, an outer shaft, an inner shaft, a trial sizer, a rod, and a head. The outer shaft is operatively coupled with the housing such that rotation of the housing causes axial displacement of the outer shaft. The outer shaft includes a keel cutter configured to form a channel in a vertebral body. The inner shaft disposed within the outer shaft. The trial sizer is configured to be received in intervertebral space. The trial sizer includes a pair of wings transitionable between a retracted position and an extended position in which the pair of wings extends transversely outward. • Publication number: 20220183726
Abstract: A screw driving instrument is provided with a stylet holder able to retain a head of a stylet at one of multiple discrete locations. A user may vary a distance that a point of the stylet extends from a distal end of the instrument by choosing which of the discrete locations to insert the stylet head into before coupling the stylet holder to the instrument. The instrument may include a ratcheting handle capable of rotation in one direction about a central axis of the instrument relative to other components of the instrument. The stylet holder may be engageable with the handle.

  • Publication number: 20170354431
Abstract: A surgical cutting instrument comprises an outer tubular member and an inner tubular member. The outer tubular member includes a proximal section, an intermediate section, a distal section, and a side wall. The side wall defines a central lumen extending from the proximal section to the distal section. The side wall also includes means for conducting fluid within a sidewall of the outer tubular member from the proximal section to the distal section and includes a distal opening positioned to direct fluid at the bur and a treatment site. The inner tubular member is rotatably received within the central lumen. A distal end of the inner tubular member forms a bur extending distally beyond, and exposed relative to, the distal section of the outer tubular member.

  • Patent number: 9089344
Abstract: A surgical cutting instrument including two coaxially arranged tubular members. The first tubular member has a cutting tip and is co-axially disposed within the second tubular member, which in turn has a cutting window to expose the cutting tip to tissue and bone through the cutting window. Movement of the tubular members with respect to each other debrides soft tissue and thin bone presented to the cutting window. The second (outer) tubular member has one or more features which contribute to reduced clogging of the cutting tip as a whole.
