  • Patent number: 10738420
Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods and apparatus for screening a pulp suspension where the pulp suspension is directed to a screening space, where a part of the fibres in the pulp is screened using a drum-type rotor. The residual pulp suspension is then directed to a dilution space where it is mixed with recirculated pulp flow and the pulp suspension in the dilution space will be screened. Resulting preliminary reject flow is directed to a mixing space where it mixes with a dilution flow. The recirculated pulp flow is then directed back to the dilution space.

  • Patent number: 6988682
Abstract: Waste that contains fibers and combustible material is slushed in a continuous-operation high-consistency pulper (10) to suspend in water the fibers contained in the waste. From the pulper (10) are discharged substantially continuously a fiber suspension (P1) through a screen plate; and non-defibrable material (R1) by means of a mechanical transfer device (22). The fiber suspension (P1) is sorted and cleaned for use as raw material in paper or board. The non-defibrable material (R1) and the rejects (R2-R4) separated from the fiber suspension (P1) in the sorting and cleaning stages are used as fuel in energy production and/or utilized as raw material.

  • Publication number: 20040256071
Abstract: Method and apparatus for producing fibre pulp and fuel out of municipal waste or for producing fibre pulp out of waste paper. To control the microbe content, the retention time of the process is kept shorter than 12 hours, advantageously shorter than 6 hours. This is achieved by minimizing the total liquid volume of the process and by increasing the amount of water being passed to water treatment from the process, which water, having been purified, is possibly returned to the process. The method may also include a phase in which the pulp is treated thermally in order to destroy the microbes present in it.

  • Publication number: 20030178345
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for processing waste, in particular for utilising the recyclable material contained in waste, and a waste processing plant, in particular a plant processing waste fractions suitable for recycling of material. At first, the waste is pre-treated for removing undesirable matter. Fibre waste is separated from the other waste and processed into a raw material for paper or board. Plastics-containing matter is separated and processed into plastic oil by pyrolysis. The by-products from the processes and the waste fraction which remains of the processing are used as energy for the needs of the processes. The method can additionally comprise a stage in which waste wood is separated from the other waste and processed into a raw material for particleboard or equivalent.

  • Patent number: 6389765
Abstract: A corner joint for a building made of timber elements. The exterior surface of the building is a wall element made of logs, and the interior surface is a wall element is also made of logs. The space between the wall elements is fitted with thermal insulation. Both wall elements end inside the corner joint, so that the exterior corner, which extends over the wall line of the building is made of separate corner elements on top of one another. The interior wall elements are placed crosswise in the corner, reach to and end substantially in the exterior wall elements. The crosswise stacked corner elements have extensions, which between the interior and exterior wall elements, reach over the crosswise interior wall elements. The extensions have an inter-locking shape, such as a notch, at the interior wall elements.

  • Publication number: 20020056532
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for washing a fiber pulp mixture, whereby water and, with it, ash and other particle-type impurities are removed from the fiber pulp mixture. The fiber pulp mixture is fed between two wires in a dewatering section so that water and ash are removed from the fiber pulp through both wires, after which the wires and the fiber pulp between them are led to run along a curved surface to remove any extra water by means of the tension of the wires and centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 6267845
Abstract: A process arrangement for the short circulation in a paper or board machine including stock chests for component stocks, metering pumps for component stocks, cleaning devices, pumps, a headbox and a wire section as well as a system of pipes connecting these elements, together with regulation devices. After the metering pumps, the component stock flows are passed into a closed mixing volume in which the component stocks are mixed and diluted with a first dilution water flow. From this closed mixing volume, the stock is passed in a closed space by a first feed pump of the main line of the process through a screen and a centrifugal cleaner to the suction side of a second feed pump of the main line, where a second dilution water flow is passed to the stock. The second feed pump feeds the stock through a machine screen to the inlet header in the headbox.
