  • Patent number: 10045810
Abstract: An HF surgical appliance comprising an HF generator having an output circuit, which contains an output transformer and has an output impedance. Output terminals, to which an HF surgical instrument can be connected, are provided, said instrument supplying a high-frequency current with a specific frequency into tissue to treat the same. An additional output circuit containing an additional transformer, which is connected between the output circuit and the output terminals to reduce the output impedance is also provided. In this way, the HF surgical appliance can be operated with a high power output even on loads having low impedance.

  • Patent number: 9949782
Abstract: The method disclosed herein permits the operator of an electrosurgical device to move a safety switch-off threshold for a contact resistance at a neutral electrode from a first value to a second and slightly higher value. This way, for patients with a relatively high resistance yielding a somewhat elevated contact resistance despite correct attachment of the neutral electrode, uninterrupted operation of the device is achievable.

  • Patent number: 9375248
Abstract: An electrosurgical high frequency (HF) generator comprising a generator circuit that produces an HF current between an active electrode and at least one neutral electrode. During the cutting or coagulating of biological tissue, unwanted tissue heating due to the HF current can be reduced because the electrosurgical HF generator comprises at least one further auxiliary neutral electrode connected in parallel to the neutral electrode.

  • Patent number: 8449318
Abstract: A plug system for surgical devices includes a plurality of sockets into which connecting plugs of electrosurgical instruments can be inserted, and a switching matrix having a plurality of switches for connecting at least one of the sockets to at least two different outputs or inputs of an electrosurgery device. A control system having a preselection device for controlling the switching matrix is arranged in the plug system. The switching matrix connects predetermined sockets to predetermined inputs or outputs, depending on data input into the preselection device. The control system includes a storage element for storing a basic configuration of a connection between the sockets and the inputs or outputs of the electrosurgery device. The basic configuration is set if no data is entered into the preselection device, and all switches are open in the basic configuration.
