  • Publication number: 20150129637
Abstract: Electric spindle with axial force control intended for friction welding and other uses, of the type used industrially for the automated welding of metal plates or metal elements, characterized in that it incorporates, inside the body of the electric spindle, a force sensor, associated with the tool by means of an internal shaft that can move axially and which, via an electromechanical actuator, allows the real-time local adjustment of the height of the tool above the material to be welded, such as to maintain a constant, controlled force during the welding and/or machining processes. The main advantage of the invention that is presented is that the height is corrected according to the force, automatically in the electric spindle itself, with much greater precision and speed, thereby providing more uniform welding results without irregularities.

  • Patent number: 8468670
Abstract: An enhanced automatic riveting system of the type used in robotized precision facilities to perform multiple functions, such as boring, reaming, rivet insertion, riveting, cleaning, etc. at a single work point, using the same equipment, characterized by the fact that it uses a multi-tool head, which does not move itself but is fixed on a parallel kinematic machine, which carries out all the combined positioning movements of the multi-tool head, performing the relevant position corrections between the different physical locations of the separate tools placed in the tool-holder head.

  • Publication number: 20110285069
Abstract: This document refers, as its title indicates, to an adaptable supporting device with indexed relative positioning, of the type that includes a plurality of vertical actuators, arranged on bridge modules positioned transversely above a recess and movable relative to one another, used in industry during machining processes, to attach parts having different or irregular shapes, characterized in that the device includes two double sets of hydraulic cylinders between every two modules, each of said sets comprising two hydraulic cylinders of different stroke lengths mounted in opposite directions and connected one to another at the rear of their heads, thereby allowing every two bridge modules to move relative to one another in a manner indexed in four fixed positions depending on which cylinders are activated.

  • Publication number: 20080203679
Abstract: This patent document relates, as its title indicates, to a tool holder with suction system of the type used in automatic machining systems with numerical control for the adaptation and securing of different machining tools, characterised in that it integrates in a single device the functionality of a conventional automatic tool holder, being capable of bearing a retractable element for improving precision in the control of the depth of machining, and a suction system for the powder and swarf generated during the process, enabling in an alternative embodiment the use of an axial knuckle joint in the sensing device that enables automatic adaptation to the irregularities of the surface to be machined with the subsequent reduction in machining error, and also enabling in another alternative embodiment the use of a plurality of slide guides in the retractable elements for improving the sliding of the sensing element.

  • Publication number: 20040194569
Abstract: Machine for machining large parts of the type that comprises a parallel kinematics machining device that moves freely in the X, Y and Z Cartesian axes, characterized in that the said device is mounted on a platform which moves in the Z axis and is in turn mounted on a bridge that slides along corresponding guides in the X and Y axes. The invention put forward affords the significant advantage of combining the high machining precision and speed of the parallel kinematics machine with the fact that the machine can access large work areas owing to the support platform which is mounted on the bridge.
