  • Publication number: 20180181316
Abstract: Apparatuses are coupled to each other to enable data de-duplicated by post-process processing or inline processing to be stored in a distributed manner into storage devices provided for the apparatuses. An apparatus stores apparatus-information identifying the apparatuses and performance-information of the post-process processing and the inline processing. Upon receiving an instruction for storing target-data into a storage destination, the apparatus calculates, based on a size of the target-data, the performance-information, and the apparatus-information, a first-size of first-data for the post-process processing and a second-size of second-data for the inline processing such that latency by the post-process processing and latency by the inline processing are balanced with each other.

  • Patent number: 9690658
Abstract: A distributed storage system includes a plurality of storage devices and an information processing devices including a storage unit that is accessed more preferentially than the plurality of storage devices, and a processor. The processor deletes the data that can be restored from the storage unit when data that belongs to data stored in a first storage device and which can be restored is stored in the storage unit. The processor writes data that belongs to the data stored in the first storage device and which will not be restored to the storage unit. The processor switches the first storage device to the power-off state after writing the data. The processor reads the data that has been stored in the storage unit and which will not be restored when a request to read the data that will not be restored is given.

  • Patent number: 9611812
Abstract: A valve reference position-learning device for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of accurately learning the reference position of a valve both before and after the warm-up of the engine, while properly reflecting thereon a deviation of the reference position caused by the thermal elongation of the valve and drive system after the warm-up of the engine. The valve reference position-learning device calculates and updates a learned value of the reference position of the wastegate valve both at and after the start of the engine, by first and second learnings, respectively. The learned value calculated by the first learning is stored as an existing learned value. Further, at the start of the engine, if the calculation of the learned value is not completed, the learned value is set to the existing stored learned value.
