  • Publication number: 20060087369
Abstract: An amplifier system comprises a first amplifier arranged to receive an input signal and a second amplifier arranged to receive a proportion of the input signal. A first potential divider is arranged to receive the output signal of the second amplifier and to feed a proportion of the output signal to the first amplifier. The first amplifier is arranged to subtract the proportion of the output signal of the second amplifier from the input signal to produce a difference signal for amplification by the first amplifier. There is also disclosed a method of amplifying a signal.

  • Publication number: 20060061217
Abstract: A switch circuit for controlling the supply of electrical power from an electrical power source to a load includes a power supply switch comprising input, output and control terminals. The circuit further includes an electronic switching device connected to the control terminal of the power supply switch and having an activating input; a momentary switch coupled to the activating input of the electronic switching device; and a charge storage element coupled to the momentary switch. In a first mode, closing the momentary switch in excess of a triggering time charges the charge storage element and triggers the electronic storage device to turn on the circuit to supply power to the load. In a second mode, closing the momentary switch connects the charge storage element to the electronic switching device to turn off the electronic switching device and the power supply switch, thus interrupting the supply of power to the load.

  • Publication number: 20060050287
Abstract: In a layout processing method of dynamically changing the layout of a template having a plurality of containers in accordance with contents data to be inserted in each of the plurality of containers, it is determined whether to change a size of the data area from a standard size in setting the layout so as to adapt the data area to the size of the contents data inserted in the data area. When it is determined that the size of the data area should be changed from the standard size, the size of the data area is determined in accordance with the size of the contents data inserted in the data area. When it is determined that the size of the data area should not be changed from the standard size, the size of the data area is determined by using the standard size.

  • Publication number: 20060044063
Abstract: An amplifier system comprises an amplifier, a comparator connectable to the amplifier to compare an incoming signal with a number of reference potentials. A switching stage is controlled by the output of the comparator and arranged to select a voltage level to be applied to one side of a load, such as a loudspeaker system. A subtractor is included to subtract from the incoming signal a percentage of the selected voltage level to be applied to the load. The amplifier receives the output signal of the subtractor, amplifies that signal and applies it to a second side of the load. There is also disclosed a method for amplifying a signal.

  • Publication number: 20060044615
Abstract: The present invention provides a layout adjustment method and an apparatus and a program for the same for allowing a size and a layout of a sub-template to be preferably set and an intention of a user who performs the layout to be better reflected according to the size of contents to be affixed in the sub-template in variable data print. The plurality of partial areas, to which data is to be inserted, are linked and work together to calculate their appropriate sizes on the basis of the size of the data to be inserted. Then, a layout representing sizes and locations of the plurality of partial areas in a page is adjusted on the basis of relationship between a size of each calculated partial area and links set for the plurality of partial areas in the basic layout. Each of the partial areas further includes a plurality of smaller areas, which are linked so that the plurality of smaller areas work together to make their sizes variable to make sizes of said partial areas variable.

  • Publication number: 20060029125
Abstract: In a layout processing method of dynamically changing the layout of a template having a plurality of data areas in accordance with data presented to each of the plurality of data areas, a set of data areas associated by a link is extracted. For the plurality of data areas contained in the extracted set of data areas, the area size of each data area is determined on the basis of a contents size required by contents data to be presented to each data area and a priority set for each data area. The data are laid out in accordance with the thus determined area sizes of the plurality of data areas and output.

  • Publication number: 20050168780
Abstract: An information processing technology for efficiently checking layout results for all data records is provided. Variable data input from a data source is assigned to partial display areas contained in a template to determine the size of each of the partial display areas based on the assigned variable data. Specified data for disposing the partial display areas at regular positions in a page is compared with a plurality of items of stored data assigned to the partial display areas to extract an item of data that matches a designated extracting condition. The extracted item of data is assigned to the partial display areas to display a first layout of the partial display areas in the page together with a second layout based on the specified data. The second layout based on the specified data is modified and displayed in accordance with a modification made to the first layout.

  • Publication number: 20050168782
Abstract: In determining the layout of a page on the basis of layout information representing the intra-page layout of a plurality of containers in which images based on assigned data are visually drawn, the layout information has designation information to designate whether to zeroise the container size when data assigned to the container is empty. In adjusting the layout, a container to which empty data is assigned is detected from the plurality of partial regions. It is determined whether designation information corresponding to the detected container is designation to zeroise the size. If zeroisation is designated, the layout of the page is adjusted while regarding the size of the detected container as zero.

  • Publication number: 20050172224
Abstract: This invention provides a layout adjustment method of determining the layout of a page on the basis of layout information representing the intra-page layout of a plurality of partial regions in which images based on assigned data are visually drawn. In the layout adjustment method, the layout information contains, for a region set in which a plurality of partial regions arrayed in a predetermined directions are grouped, the total size in the predetermined direction and the flexible range of the distance between the partial regions. The layout information and data corresponding to each partial region are acquired from a memory. For each of the plurality of partial regions included in the region set, a size suitable for drawing the assigned data is calculated. At least the distance between the partial regions is changed within the flexible range on the basis of the total size and the calculated size of each partial region, thereby adjusting the layout of the region set.

  • Publication number: 20040199625
Abstract: A control point is provided with the function of forming an IP address list of UPnP devices providing a predetermined service, inquiring each UPnP device on the IP address list about the list of IP addresses possessed by the UPnP device, and determining from a response to the inquiry an IP address to be used for the service. The UPnP device is provided with the function of responding to the inquiry from the control point by sending back the response indicating the number of acquired IP addresses, the value of each IP address and the IP address to be used with priority, and freeing the IP addresses different from the IP address determined by the control point. An erroneous operation by a user can therefore be avoided.
