Publication number: 20240051128Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein enable a machine learning model to learn a termination condition of a sub-task. A sub-task is one of a number of sub-tasks that, when performed in sequence, accomplish a long-running task. A machine learning model used to perform the sub-task is augmented to also provide a termination signal. The termination signal indicates whether the sub-task's termination condition has been met. Monitoring the termination signal while performing the sub-task enables subsequent sub-tasks to seamlessly begin at the appropriate time. A termination condition may be learned from the same data used to train other model outputs. In some configurations, the model learns whether a sub-task is complete by periodically attempting subsequent sub-tasks. If a subsequent sub-task can be performed, positive reinforcement is provided for the termination condition. The termination condition may also be trained using synthetic scenarios designed to test when the termination condition has been met.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2022Publication date: February 15, 2024Inventors: Kartavya NEEMA, Kazuhiro SASABUCHI, Aydan AKSOYLAR, Naoki WAKE, Jun TAKAMATSU, Ruofan KONG, Marcos de MOURA CAMPOS, Victor SHNAYDER, Brice Hoani Valentin CHUNG, Katsushi IKEUCHI

Patent number: 8345927Abstract: A registration processing apparatus generates a polynomial to calculate a value corresponding to a distance from the surface of a target object in a first image, and acquires a plurality of position coordinates on the surface of the target object in a second image. Then the apparatus respectively calculates a value corresponding to the distance from the surface of the target object in the first image using the polynomial, for position coordinates obtained by coordinate conversion of the plurality of position coordinates. The apparatus coordinate-converts the position coordinates of the second image by a coordinate conversion method for the plurality of position coordinates determined based on the calculated values.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2009Date of Patent: January 1, 2013Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Ryo Ishikawa, Katsushi Ikeuchi, Jun Takamatsu, Takeshi Ohishi, Bo Zheng

Patent number: 6836319Abstract: A method for adjusting an optical system of an energy beam apparatus by using a mark signal that is obtained by one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally scanning a mark on a sample with an energy beam. The mark has a one-dimensional or two-dimensional periodic structure. A first mark signal is detected by scanning the mark with a beam. The mark is set on the optical axis of the optical system. A second mark signal is detected by scanning the mark with a beam. The mark is located at a position that is deviated from the optical axis. A deviation of a deflection position is determined based on a phase difference between the first and second mark signals.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2004Date of Patent: December 28, 2004Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Munehiro Ogasawara, Jun Takamatsu, Hitoshi Sunaoshi, Naoharu Shimomura
