  • Patent number: 5397157
Abstract: A bellows that is affixable by way of a connecting sleeve to a machine part, and is made of polymer material and has folds formed, at least in one partial area, in the shape of a screw thread. The connecting sleeve is provided with at least two retaining elements that are distributed in the circumferential direction and project inwardly and/or outwardly from the top surface of the connecting sleeve, the retaining elements being able to be forced into engagement with snap-in locking elements of the machine part, which exhibit a groove following the direction of the folds.

    Assignee: Firma Carl Freudenberg
    Inventors: Jurgen Hempel, Gerhard Muller-Broll
  • Patent number: 5236204
Abstract: A bellows made of thermoplastic elastomer material comprises clamping sections at opposite ends of the bellows, where at least one of the clamping sections consists of elastomeric material which is permanently bonded to the thermoplastic elastomer material.

  • Patent number: 5049331
Abstract: A method of producing a thread-reinforced, extruded rubber body by a shear head wherein the threads are continuously supplied, embedded in a rubber mixture which is in a continuous forward motion and fixed in the rubber body by vulcanizing the rubber mixture. The method is such that the reinforcing threads are helically twisted in the finished rubber body. The rubber body is thus reinforced not only in longitudinal direction but also additionally in circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 4822548
Abstract: In the production of a thread-reinforced hose from polymeric material, the still formable material, a mold core, and the reinforcing thread or threads are fed continuously into a shear head and united. This takes place while utilizing the rotary movement of the shear mandrel contained in the shear head such that each thread used is passed axially through the shear mandrel and is wound around the mold core after emerging from an opening at the end. The embedding of the thread into the material and its winding about the mold core take place simultaneously. After the finished hose emerges from the nozzle of the shear head the material solidifies and the mold core is removed.

  • Patent number: 4560178
Abstract: Sealing sleeve of a polymeric material of low elasticity and with at least one connecting sleeve for the liquid-and/or gastight connection to a connecting stub wherein the connecting sleeve has an inner circumference which is smaller or larger than the outer circumference of the connecting stub, wherein the connecting sleeve has a folding extending substantially non-parallel to the circumferential direction and is thus adaptable to the diameter of the connecting stub.
