  • Patent number: 4613811
Abstract: A magneto-optical current sensor for measuring current flowing through a conductor, characterized by at least two components. One component is parallel to the direction of current flow and is proximate to a source of magnetic field. The other component is perpendicular to that direction and includes a surface in contact with said one component. One of the components having a reflective surface for reflecting a polarized light beam between components whereby a light signal is produced that is compensated for temperature, loop degradation, and linearity.

  • Patent number: 4612500
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring current in a conductor characterized by a magneto-optical current sensor employing the Faraday effect to measure current in a high voltage transmission line. Polarized light having a predetermined plane of polarization is directed into the sensor which plane of polarization is rotated by magnetic field lines generated by the current in the conductor. A bimetal coil rotates the sensor to achieve temperature stability of the current signal in the temperature range of -40.degree. C. to 140.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4540937
Abstract: There is provided by this invention an electronic circuit for interfacing with a magneto-optical current sensor employing the Faraday effect to measure current in a high voltage transmission line. A DC biasing voltage is applied to the output of a photodetector to substantially eliminate the DC component providing a substantially AC output signal to the circuit. There is also provided a negative low pass error feedback to self-calibrate the circuit.

  • Patent number: 4114070
Abstract: An electro-optic display panel is described in which thin film electronic circuitry is associated with individual display medium elements disposed upon a substrate. Rows and columns of interconnecting bus bars are minimized by utilizing the bus bars on a time shared basis.

  • Patent number: 4112333
Abstract: A planar display panel is described having an X-Y array of individually controllable display elements. A thin film floating gate transistor with memory capability is disposed integral with each display element. A storable information potential is applied to the transistor gate to induce a potential on the floating gate which determines high and low conductance states for the transistor. Preferred operating modes are set forth. A preferred physical layout for the display elements is provided in which the memory transistor is optimally located to provide the maximum display area.

  • Patent number: 4110664
Abstract: An electroluminescent bargraph display module is detailed with an integral multi-stage thin-film transistor dynamic shift register disposed upon the module substrate side-by-side with the individually controllable electroluminescent display elements. The shift register accepts serial digital data input and holds it stationary in the register and supplies parallel outputs from the respective stages which are connected to individual display elements.

  • Patent number: 4110662
Abstract: A thin film electronic device is detailed for processing information signals and storing line-at-a-time assembled information signals for driving an X-Y matrix coincidence addressable, display panel. The thin film device is preferably integrally formed on the periphery of the display panel and acts as a serial to parallel converter to process the information signal to present it for line-at-a-time addressing. The device is usable for alpha numeric and refresh signals as well as for TV rate video information.

  • Patent number: 4087792
Abstract: An electro-optic display system is detailed in which an electro-optic display panel is driven by varying the on-time duty cycle during which the display medium is excited to generate the grey-scale brightness for an individual display element.
