  • Patent number: 8191438
Abstract: A drive mechanism (1) of a camera apparatus includes a worm gear (4) to which a rotational driving force of a drive motor (2) is transmitted, a worm wheel (6) around which a helical gear (5) is formed to engage with the worm gear (4), and a support frame (7) which supports the worm wheel (6) rotatably and movably along a rotation axis. A rotational driving force of the worm gear (4) is transmitted to the worm wheel (6) with reduced gear ratio. An externally threaded portion (10) of a shaft portion (8) of the worm wheel (6) is engaged with an internally threaded portion in a supporting hole (14) of the support frame (7), so that the shaft portion (8) moves along the rotation axis when the worm wheel (6) rotates. Consequently, the rotational driving force transmitted to the worm wheel (6) is converted into a linear thrust force along the rotation axis. This makes it possible to provide a camera apparatus which can develop a larger thrust force and adjust an amount of travel more finely.

  • Publication number: 20120092550
Abstract: A camera device (1) includes an image sensor (5) which is assembled into a case (2), a first perspective-control component (6) including a convex partial spherical surface (15) for performing perspective control, and a second perspective-control component (7) including a concave partial spherical surface (21) having a radius of curvature and a center of curvature which are equal to those of the convex partial spherical surface. Before completion of the assembly of the image sensor (5) into the case (2), the second perspective-control component (7) is mounted on the first perspective-control component (6) attached to a back side of the image sensor (5), and perspective control is performed with the convex partial spherical surface (15) and the concave partial spherical surface (21) in surface contact with each other. The first perspective-control component (6) and the second perspective-control component (7) are secured to each other via an adhesive after completion of the perspective control.

  • Publication number: 20120086849
Abstract: A camera device includes: an image pickup element; a birefringent plate fixed to a front surface of the image pickup element; and an optical glass member arranged on an optical path of the image pickup element on a front side of the birefringent plate. The optical glass member has a plurality of optical characteristic areas with different optical characteristics from each other. The optical characteristic areas are switched such that one of the plurality of optical characteristic areas is arranged on the optical path by moving the optical glass member in a direction intersecting with the optical path. The plurality of optical characteristic areas include an infrared cut filter area and a blank glass area. The infrared cut filter area is formed by depositing an infrared cut material with infrared cut characteristics on a surface of the optical glass member.

  • Publication number: 20110096164
Abstract: A dome camera (1) includes a lens unit (5) having an adjustable lens focal point, a dome cover (4) for covering the lens unit (5), and a pseudo-cover (7) having optically equivalent characteristics to those of the dome cover (4). The pseudo-cover (7) is capable of rotating around a rotation axis which is set at the lens unit (5) from a lens focal point adjusting position which is set on an optical axis of the lens unit (5) toward a retraction position which is back from the optical axis of the lens unit (5). At the time of lens focal point adjustment work, the lens focal point is adjusted while the pseudo-cover (7) is set at the lens focal point adjusting position. When the lens focal point adjustment work ends, the pseudo-cover (7) is rotated to the retraction position to retract from the optical axis of the lens unit (5), and the dome cover (4) is put over the lens unit (5).

  • Patent number: 7847837
Abstract: An image pickup device has an image pickup element (20), a variable power lens (20) for changing image pickup magnification, a magnification converting lens (15) for converting the image pickup magnification into a predetermined multiple, a signal processing circuit (30) for outputting a signal from the image pickup element (20) as a picture image signal, an image recording section (31) for recording an image, and a control section (40). The signal processing circuit (30) outputs the image recorded to the image recording section (31) to a monitor when the magnification converting lens (15) is inserted onto an optical axis L. At the inserting time of the magnification converting lens, it is possible to prevent that a frame body of the magnification converting lens is displayed in the monitor.

  • Publication number: 20100212689
Abstract: A camera apparatus (1) includes: a CCD (2) serving as an imaging device; a cleaning member (3) for performing cleaning of the front face of the CCD (2); and a cleaning controller (13) for controlling the movement of the cleaning member (3). Cleaning control is carried out so that when the cleaning of the CCD (2) is started, the cleaning member (3) is moved to a cleaning position located in front of and in proximity to the CCD (2), and when the cleaning of the CCD (2) is finished, the cleaning member (3) is moved to a retracted position retracted from the cleaning position. The camera apparatus itself is provided with the function of cleaning the imaging device, thereby enabling reduction in time and effort for a cleaning operation performed on the imaging device.

  • Patent number: 7497632
Abstract: A camera is covered with a camera housing. The camera and the camera housing form a shooting window portion of a double structure having a clearance. A blowing tunnel communicated with the clearance of the shooting window portion is arranged on each of both sides of the shooting window portion. A blower sends a wind to the shooting window portion through the blowing tunnel. Further, a heater for heating the air sent to the shooting window portion is arranged in the blowing tunnel. Thus, dew condensation preventing ability can be improved by such a construction.
