  • Patent number: 4144580
Abstract: A power control system for electronic machines is capable of realizing substantial power savings. A logic circuit is activated by electric energy produced by a mechanical-electric power converter means with the push of a key without requiring a power source such as a battery. Other elements such as power on-off switch can be also eliminated.

    Inventors: Mitsuaki Seki, Jyuji Kishimoto
  • Patent number: 4099247
Abstract: An electronic instrument with a non-volatile display comprises a drive control circuit for controlling the display, first and second clear means for respectively clearing the non-volatile display and the drive control circuit, and a single clear instruction generating circuit for generating a signal to actuate both first and second clear means. Thus the non-volatile display and the control circuit may be cleared simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4065803
Abstract: There is disclosed an electronic device which comprises means for detecting the occurrence of voltage fluctuation in the input or output voltage of a power source to produce an output signal, and means operative in response to the output signal for disabling a portion of the electronic device, such as a liquid crystal display element, thereby substantially elongating the lifetime of the particular portion of the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 4064398
Abstract: An electronic calculator includes input means for entering numeric data, and means for discriminating between the integral and the fractional part of a mixed fraction entered by said input means. According to the electronic calculator numeric data can be entered in accordance with the fractional expression.

  • Patent number: 4044228
Abstract: There is provided an electronic calculator with a printer which is capable of feeding any desired number of lines of a recording medium by keeping the operation execution instructin key depressed, thereby to realize both improvement of operability and elimination of the paper feed key. Also, even if said instruction key is not kept pushed down, it is possible to feed more than three lines of the recording medium by a one-tough operation. Further, by previously setting the quantity to be fed before operation, it is possible to automatically stop feed of the recording medium, which is fed by the key operation, upon feed of the predetermined quantity of the recording medium. Moreover, space feed may be automatically or artificially eliminated to improve the continuous printing output speed.
