Abstract: The invention relates to a device, a method and the use of the device, for transferring linear movements. The device consists of a hollow cylinder, in which a pressurized space is found, wherein the pressurized space is bounded by a connection flange, which is attached to a terminal opening of the hollow cylinder, and a movable piston flange, which is applied in a pressure-tight manner to the inside of the cylinder wall of the hollow cylinder, and wherein the connection flange and the piston flange are joined together by means of a reversibly deformable component.
