  • Patent number: 8751032
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the interactive control of a machine (14), wherein the operating parameters required for the work flow (18) of the machine are input into a data processing unit (12) storing the operating parameters in a form that guides the operator. Due to the input, subsequently work flows are carried out. A data set regarding the basic rules of the work flow of the machine is present in the data processing unit. Using the data set, a chosen selection of possibilities existing based on the machine equipment and environment is provided to the operator as the result, which contains further sections that can be inserted into the existing work flow (18) in a compatible manner.

  • Patent number: 8221107
Abstract: The invention relates to a mold clamping unit on a plastic injection molding machine, the unit having a clamping mechanism for opening and closing an injection mold, the mechanism having a servo motor as the drive motor (21). The drive motor drives at least one spindle drive (10) which has a spindle nut (12) and spindle which work together on a bearing position (14). A cooling system with cooling channels (25) is provided for removing heat from the clamping mechanism. A more efficient cooling of the spindle drive is achieved in that the cooling channels (25) penetrate the bearing position (14) of the spindle drive (10) and/or one of the cooling plates (23) assigned to the bearing position.

  • Publication number: 20120093957
Abstract: The invention relates to an injection molding unit for an injection molding machine for processing plastics, comprising an electro-mechanical dosing motor (D) for rotating a worm conveyor (11) during dosing of the plasticizable material, and an electro-mechanical injection motor (E) for the axial movement of the worm conveyor (11) relative to a plasticization unit (10). The injection motor (E) comprises a spindle drive having a spindle (16). The axes of the dosing motor (D) and of the injection motor (E) are aligned with one another. Due to the spindle (16) of the injection motor (E) being rigidly connected to the rotor (12) of the dosing motor (D) and due to the fact that the dosing motor (D) can be blocked by a braking means in a direction of rotation, an alternative compact, energy-saving injection molding unit is created.

  • Publication number: 20110090492
Abstract: The method of evaluating an optical defect in a transparent material includes irradiating the material with light to produce scattered light from the defect, rotating the material about a rotation axis passing through the defect, measuring scattered light intensity at a scattering angle (?s) to the rotation axis by means of a detector, determining the dependence of the measured scattered light intensity on rotation angle (?s) around the rotation axis and characterizing size and/or shape of the defect from that dependence. The apparatus for performing the method has a light source, a rotatable holder for the transparent material, a light sensitive receiving device and an imaging optical system for imaging scattered light from the material within a certain angular range on a detector surface of the receiving device.

  • Patent number: 7630873
Abstract: Eigensolutions for use in determining the profile of a structure formed on a semiconductor wafer can be approximated by obtaining a known set of eigenvectors associated with a first section of a hypothetical profile of the structure, where the known set of eigenvectors is used to generate a simulated diffraction signal for the hypothetical profile. A known characteristic matrix associated with a second section of a hypothetical profile is obtained, and an approximated set of eigenvalues for the second section is determined based on the known set of eigenvectors associated with the first section and the known characteristic matrix associated with the second section.
