Abstract: Detergent mixtures containing a) alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycosides corresponding to formula (I)R.sup.1 O--?G!.sub.p (I)in which R.sup.1 is an alkyl or alkenyl radical containing 8 to 22 carbon atoms, G is a sugar unit containing 5 or 6 carbon atoms and p is a number of 1 to 10; b) fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers corresponding to formula (II) ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 represents alkyl radicals containing 6 to 14 carbon atoms, n is a number of 0.5 to 2 and m is a number of 2 to 10 and, optionally, c) amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants and water, have synergistic effects in regard to their washing, dishwashing, foaming and cleaning performance and in regard to their skin-cosmetic compatibility. Accordingly, they are suitable for the production of a number of surface-active preparations, particularly manual dishwashing detergents.

Abstract: Aqueous solutions of anionic surfactants having improved low-temperature stability are obtained by addition to the solutions of mixtures of nonionic surfactants containinga) alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycosides corresponding to formula (I)R.sup.1 -O-[G].sub.p (I)in which R.sup.1 is an alkyl and/or alkenyl radical containing 6 to 22 carbon atoms, G is a sugar unit containing 5 or 6 carbon atoms and p is a number of 1 to 10,b) fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers corresponding to formula (II) ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 is an alkyl radical containing 8 to 11 carbon atoms, n is a number of 4 to 9 and m=0 or is a number of 1 to 3, and optionallyc) fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers corresponding to formula (III) ##STR2## in which R.sup.3 is an alkyl radical containing 12 to 15 carbon atoms, n is an integer of 4 to 9 and m=0 or is a number of 1 to 3.The products are particularly suitable for the production of manual dishwashing detergents.

Abstract: A process for the production of surface-active compounds having improved detergency comprising hydrolyzing a water-containing paste of an alkyl or alkenyl oligoglycoside of the formula (I):R.sup.1 O(G).sub.p (I)wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl or alkenyl radical having from about 4 to about 22 carbon atoms, G is a sugar unit having 5 or 6 carbon atoms and p is a number of 1 to 10 for a period of from about 5 minutes to about 10 days at a temperature of from about 70.degree. to about 180.degree. C. and under pressures of from about 1 to about 50 bar.

Abstract: Water-free detergent mixtures may be obtained by reacting secondary or tertiary amines with alkylating agents, in a per se known manner, in the presence of fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers with a HLB value in a range from 6 to 12, but without adding water or organic solvents. These products are suitable for preparing surface-active agents.

Abstract: The invention is an oven system for roasting, cooking, baking and regenerating, as well as for grilling foodstuffs by supplying heat into a cooking space of the oven. The oven system includes at least one slide-in frame movable into and out of the cooking space, respectively, the slide-in frame having at least two respectively connected rotating discs which are rotatably supported on the opposing inner sides of the slide-in frame. The oven system also includes receivers for the foodstuffs which are releasably attached to the rotating discs and at least one drive mechanism mounted on the oven for rotating a rotating disc. The drive is engageable with and disengageable from the rotating disc.

Abstract: A method for stabilizing aqueous zeolite suspensions by adding fatty-alcohol poly(ethylene glycol) ethers of the formula R.sup.1 O--(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.n in which R.sup.1 is a linear aliphatic alkyl group containing 12 to 14 carbon atoms and n is an average number of from 4.2 to 4.8. Aqueous slurries containing from 20 to 60% by weight of zeolite are stabilized by adding it to the slurry from 0.1 to 5% by weight of the fatty-alcohol poly(ethylene glycol) ethers.

Abstract: In the process for gasification of municipal waste plastic waste material pieces of about a 20 mm piece size are compressed and heated at a pressure of from 40 to 80 bar until at a temperature of from 230.degree. to 300.degree. C. to produce an HCl-containing gas and a plastic waste material containing less than 3000 mg of HCl per kg and the HCl-containing gas produced is washed with water to produce a hydrochloric acid solution. The plastic waste material is then heated further until at a temperature of from 400.degree. to 500.degree. C. to form a plastic melt having a viscosity of less than 300 cSt, advantageously less than 50 cSt. This plastic melt is gasified at a pressure of 4 bar with oxygen in a flame reaction to form a crude gas containing a preponderant proportion of CO in relation to CO.sub.2 in a gasification chamber having a central temperature of about 1600.degree. C. The crude gas is withdrawn from the gasification reactor at a temperature of 1300.degree. to 1600.degree. C.

Abstract: An environment-friendly basic oil based on natural materials for the formulation of hydraulic oils having improved viscosity at elevated temperature and lower pour point contains rapeseed oil or soybean oil as the main component, an antioxidant selected from methoxyphenol, ethoxyphenol, butyl hydroxyanisole, butyl hydroxytoluene, methoxyhydroquinone, ethoxyhydroquinone, tertiary butyl hydroquinone, and tocopherol, and an ester of a monocarboxylic acid or a fatty acid.

Abstract: 2-Ethylhexyl esters of fatty acids, optionally mixed with emulsifiers, solubilizers, corrosion inhibitors, and/or water, are useful as low viscosity agents for the cold cleaning of metal surfaces contaminated mainly with oil. Such agents are non-toxic when inhaled and completely biodegradable.

Abstract: Mixtures containinga) 58 to 95% by weight of at least one ester with an iodine value of 50 to 150 derived from fatty acids containing 12 to 22 carbon atoms and lower aliphatic alcohols containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms,b) 4 to 40% by weight of at least one ester of fatty acids containing 6 to 14 carbon atoms and lower aliphatic alcohols containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms andc) 0.1 to 2% by weight of at least one polymeric ester, are distinguished by particular low-temperature stability and can be used as a fuel for diesel engines.

Abstract: A water-soluble, foam-inhibiting universal lubricant composition based on an aqueous self-emulsifying synthetic oil solution and an anti-foaming agent. The oil is an ethoxylated dimeric fatty acid, and the anti-foaming agent is made up of a Guerbet alcohol and a metal soap.

Abstract: A low-viscosity lubricant composition stable to high and low temperatures containing an ester oil which is the esterfication product of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 8 or 9 carbon atoms and a branched Guerbet alcohol having from 12 to 20 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A process for the production of alkyl polyoxyethylenes showing improved low-temperature behavior, by reaction of alcohols with ethylene oxide at elevated temperature in the presence of basic alkali metal compounds as catalysts and subsequent neutralization of the alkaline catalyst with acids, which under prior art practice was impractical because of clogging of reaction vessels and equipment associated with precipitation of salts during neutralization, is made practical by adding a finely divided solid to serve as a precipitation control agent during neutralization. The finely divided solids used are, in particular, organic and/or inorganic materials known in the prior art as filter aids, such as kieselguhr and sawdust or other finely divided cellulose.

Abstract: A power saw has two oppositely reciprocating saw blades guided and supported in a receiving slot in a support plate. The blades are supported during sawing along shoulders on their outside by lower edges of support sections of the support plate. The arrangement is such that forces generated in operation during cutting press the saw blades together in the area of their teeth. This prevents saw dust, chippings etc. penetrating between the two saw blades. Preferably, the thickness of the saw blade shoulders are not greater than half the thickness of the saw blades, and preferably no greater than the thickness of the support section edges. The teeth of the saw blades may be so ground and arranged that the resultant force on the teeth during cutting also forces the saw blades together at their teeth.
