  • Patent number: 11834328
Abstract: A semiconductor package with design features, including an isolation structure for internal components and a flexible electrical connection, that minimizes errors due to environmental temperature, shock, and vibration effects. The semiconductor package may include a base having a first portion surrounded by a second portion. A connector assembly may be attached to the first portion. The connector assembly may extend through an opening in the base. A lid attached may be attached to, at least, the second portion. The attached lid may form a hermetically-sealed cavity defined by an upper surface of the first portion, the connector assembly, and an inner surface of the lid. An elastomer pad may be on the first portion and a sub-assembly may be on the elastomer pad. A flexible electrical connection may be formed between the connector assembly and the sub-assembly.

  • Publication number: 20230204619
Abstract: A sensor may be automatically calibrated during manufacture by providing a sensor processing unit having an integrated sensor, performing a check to determine if the integrated sensor has been previously calibrated upon a reset. When it has been determined the integrated sensor has not been previously calibrated, an automated calibration pattern may be imparted to the sensor so that a calibration parameter is determined.

  • Publication number: 20230104773
Abstract: A hearable comprises a wearable structure including a speaker, a sensor, and a temperature compensating circuit which measures temperature in an environment of the sensor. A portion of the wearable structure, which includes the sensor and temperature compensating circuit, is disposed within a user’s ear when in use. A sensor processing unit which is communicatively coupled with the temperature compensating circuit: acquires temperature data from the temperature compensating circuit while the portion of the wearable structure is disposed within the ear of the user; builds a baseline model of normal temperature for the user; and compares a temperature measurement acquired from the temperature compensating circuit to the baseline model. In response to the comparison showing a deviation beyond a preset threshold from the baseline model, the sensor processing unit generates a health indicator for the user which is used to monitor an aspect of health of the user.

  • Patent number: 11566899
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for configuring a motion sensor assembly to compensate for a temperature gradient. First and second sensors of the same type are arranged as opposing pairs with respect to a first axis that may be defined by a temperature gradient caused by at least one thermal element. Combining the output measurements of the first sensor and the second sensor allows effects of the temperature gradient on sensor measurements of the first sensor and the second sensor to be compensated.

  • Patent number: 11517252
Abstract: A hearable comprises at least one microphone coupled with a wearable structure and a sensor processing unit disposed within the wearable structure and coupled with the microphone. A portion of the wearable structure is configured to be disposed within a user's ear. The sensor processing unit acquires audio data from the at least one microphone and head motion data from at least one motion sensor of the sensor processing unit. The head motion data describes motions of the user's head and comprises cranium motion data and mandible motion data. The sensor processing unit separates the mandible motion data from the head motion data, synchronizes the mandible motion data and the audio data into a synchronized data stream; classifies an activity of the head during a portion of the synchronized data stream; and generates a health indicator for the user based on the activity and the synchronized data stream.

  • Patent number: 11340250
Abstract: A synchronization system for an acoustic signal-based and inertial signal-based positioning system is provided that generates a magnetic field as a synchronization signal. The modulated magnetic synchronization signal is transmitted by a transmitter of the positioning system and received by the receiver of the positioning system. The receiver may make an acoustic position determination for the transmitter based on a received modulated synchronization signal and may make an inertial position determination for the transmitter based on the received inertial signal, such that the acoustic position determination and the inertial position determination are fused.

  • Patent number: 11287331
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for configuring sensors to compensate for a temperature gradient. Multiple sensor sets, each having at least two sensors of a same type with orthogonal axes, are positioned to form at least one opposing sensor pair, in which an axis of one sensor of one sensor set is in an opposite orientation to an axis of one sensor of another sensor set. A combined measurement of each opposing sensor pair may be output which is compensated for an effect of a temperature gradient on sensor measurements of the sensors.
