  • Patent number: 11841785
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods are provided for managing system configuration settings during an active system session, and for managing session retainment, based on user presence detected within a field of view (FOV) of an information handling system (IHS) and policy. The systems and methods described herein improve system security in an IHS operated within a multi-user environment by managing system configuration and session retainment when a trusted user or an unknown user is present within a FOV of the authenticated user's system during an active system session.

  • Patent number: 11826658
Abstract: An information handling system includes a memory to store data associated with metrics of an individual and gaming performance metrics, and a processor. The processor correlates the metrics of an individual with the gaming performance metrics. Based on the correlation, the processor creates a gaming performance score. The processor determines changes to implement based on the gaming performance score. When the changes are implemented, the changes improve the gaming performance score. The processor provides the changes to the individual in a non-intrusive manner.

  • Publication number: 20230065840
Abstract: An information handling system (IHS) may receive, from a first sensor of the information handling system, first sensor data. The IHS may detect an individual other than a user of the IHS in a field of view of the first sensor based on the first sensor data. The IHS may then, in response to the first sensor detecting the individual, receive, from a second sensor of the IHS, second sensor data. Based, at least in part, on the first sensor data and the second sensor data, the IHS may determine relevance of the individual to an application displayed on a display of the IHS. The IHS may then generate an intent score for the individual based at least in part on the determined relevance. The IHS may then determine whether a security profile is to be applied to the IHS based, at least in part, on the intent score.

  • Patent number: 11510047
Abstract: A mobile information handling system may include, in an embodiment, a wireless network interface; a wireless performance modulator to adjust the performance of the wireless network interface; and a sensor to receive input descriptive of the environment of the mobile information handling system and provide the input to the wireless performance modulator to adjust the performance of the wireless network interface based on information associated with the sensed environment received by the sensor wherein the sensor is a movement sensor to detect the movement of the mobile information handling system so as to determine, with the wireless performance modulator, whether to initiate a roaming process to search for a wireless network to communicatively couple the mobile handling system upon detection of movement above a threshold level.

  • Publication number: 20180321731
Abstract: An information handling system operating a heuristic user presence based power management system may comprise a video display and a processor operatively connected to a memory, operating an information handling system according to a full power protocol. The processor may execute machine readable executable code instructions of the heuristic user presence based power management system to receive one or more inputs indicating user absence determined based on information gathered by one or more of a plurality of sensor devices, identify a user absence confidence level associated with the one or more inputs indicating user absence in a human absence confidence table stored in the memory, and to initiate a low power protocol after a first preset time period, if the identified user absence confidence level meets a preset low power threshold value.
