Patent number: 11953430Abstract: Described herein is a method and system for classifying rock types in a rock body. The method comprises the steps of obtaining spectral data from a spectral measurement (202) of a surface region of the rock body and then determining a first spectral ratio between two wavelength bands of the spectral data. From the first spectral ratio it can be assessed (204) whether the measurement is a high-angle measurement, and if the measurement is not a high-angle measurement then a further spectral ratio between two further wavelength bands of the spectral data is determined (208). The further spectral ratio is then compared (210) with a corresponding diagnostic criterion to assess whether the surface region comprises a first rock type associated with the further spectral ratio and diagnostic criterion.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: TECHNOLOGICAL RESOURCES PTY. Patent number: 11930857Abstract: Features relating to vaporizer devices configured to allow for temperature adjustment are provided. User controlled actions with respect to removing a cartridge from a vaporizer body and inserting the cartridge into the vaporizer body provide for temperature adjustment, where the temperature refers to a setpoint temperature of operation of the vaporizer device. The temperature adjustment aspects of the current subject matter provide a user with a controlled, intuitive, and simple method to adjust the setpoint temperature of the vaporizer device by incrementing through a sequence of setpoint temperatures.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2020Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Pax Labs, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Czapar, Christopher Loental, Katherine Murphy, Oliver Farshi

Publication number: 20210154420Abstract: Features relating to vaporizer device configurations related to dose consumption are provided. Aspects relate to configuring a vaporizer device with respect to providing feedback to a user with respect to dose consumption of one or more vaporizable materials being vaporized and inhaled by a user of a vaporizer device. The vaporizer device monitors dose consumption, based on at least applied energy amounts, and generates feedback in the form of a haptics pulse, an audio indication, a visual indication, or a combination thereof. A timer is used to determine if a dose falls within a series of doses or is part of a new series. A timeout period is used to stop or limit use following the completion of a series of doses. Data relating to the dose consumption and the series of doses may be stored on and associated with a cartridge, allowing for resumption of the dose consumption aspects.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2020Publication date: May 27, 2021Inventors: Erik Jorgensen, Katherine Murphy, Colt Stander, Matthew Czapar, Oliver Farshi

Publication number: 20200315253Abstract: Features relating to vaporizer devices configured to provide a fixed amount of aerosol for user consumption are provided. In particular, aspects of the current subject matter relate to utilizing data associated with a cartridge to identify an amount of aerosol to be generated by a vaporizer device, and applying to a heating element an amount of energy to achieve the desired amount of aerosol. Dose control settings may be enabled to provide for the vaporizer device to generate a number of doses based on a selected dose size.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2020Publication date: October 8, 2020Inventors: Conrad Legendy, Maya Voskoboynikov, Colt Stander, Pradyumna Upadhya, Katherine Murphy

Patent number: 6518873Abstract: A variable resistive element for use in a sensing unit for measuring liquid level in a container, through interaction with a sliding electrical contact operating in conjunction with a float, includes a conductor pattern deposited on a substrate. A region of resistive material is also deposited on the substrate and makes electrical contact with the conductive pattern. A region of the conductor pattern functions as a contact area for the sliding electrical contact. This region is coated with a plating material, for example nickel or a nickel alloy. The use of the plating reduces the requirements for expensive metals in the conductor pattern. The variable resistive element is particularly suited for use in a fuel level sensor.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2001Date of Patent: February 11, 2003Assignee: Bourns, Inc.Inventors: Eoin O'Regan, Katherine Murphy

Patent number: 5051323Abstract: A cover for a galvanic cell having a reverse curved peripheral edge and a substantially centrally disposed upstanding wall bounding an aperture. A sealing member is positioned below the cover and has a tubular hub which projects through the aperture in the cover and a skirt that electrically insulates the edge of the cover. An electrically conductive fastener is positioned in the tubular hub on the sealing member which tends to cause the edge of the tubular hub to roll or "mushroom" when the electrically conductive fastener is peened or clinched in place. The rolled tubular hub tightly locks the fastener and the cover together while the edge of the cover presses against the inner wall of the container holding the components of the galvanic cell. The pressure tends to slightly bow the cover enabling it to stay in a tightly sealed condition under both physical and thermal stress. A galvanic cell incorporating the cover is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1990Date of Patent: September 24, 1991Assignee: Eveready Battery Company, Inc.Inventor: Katherine A. Murphy
