  • Publication number: 20120294940
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of suppressing the bitter taste of a drug when a rapidly disintegrating tablet in an oral cavity is produced. When a rapidly disintegrating tablet in an oral cavity is produced, the bitter taste of a drug is suppressed by utilizing (a) a granule which contains a drug having a bitter taste and an excipient and in which the bitter taste has not been suppressed and (b) a granule containing a water soluble saccharide.

  • Publication number: 20110229570
Abstract: Disclosed is an orally rapidly disintegrating tablet characterized in that the tablet can be produced in a conventional tablet manufacturing facility and has a satisfactory level of hardness for practical applications, and the change in properties of the tablet (i.e., decreased in hardness of the tablet, and delay of the disintegration time of the tablet in the oral cavity) are rarely caused by factors such as humidity. The orally rapidly disintegrating tablet has hardness of 40N or more, can be disintegrated in the oral cavity within 60 seconds, and is produced by compressing of a mixture of (a) an active ingredient, (b) an excipient having good water wettability, (c) a water-insoluble polymer that is well compactible and does not substantially cause a decrease in the water wettability of the excipient and (d) a disintegrating agent.

  • Patent number: 5614220
Abstract: A pharmaceutical preparation for oral administration comprising(a) a core containing a medicinal active ingredient,(b) a press-coated layer comprising a pH-independently water-soluble polymer, said layer being provided around the core and(c) a film comprising an enteric polymer, said film being provided around the press-coated layer. In the pharmaceutical preparation of the present invention, the medicinal active ingredient is not released during residence in the stomach and, after forwarded from the stomach, until reaching a targeted site in the intestine, and thereafter is quickly released, so that the medicinal active ingredient is efficiently delivered to the targeted site in the intestinal tract.
