  • Publication number: 20210333112
Abstract: To provide a technique for allowing a search for a route taking into account turnarounds in the entire way from a point of departure to a destination. A route search system includes a node obtaining part that obtains nodes present between a point of departure and a destination of a vehicle; a passage cost obtaining part that obtains a passage cost of a road section between the nodes and the passage costs of intersections represented by the nodes; and a route searching part that searches for a route with the smallest sum of the passage costs between the point of departure and the destination, and the route searching part sets the passage cost for a case of making a turnaround, for all of the intersections included in a candidate for a route from the point of departure to the destination, based on the road section traveled after the turnaround.

  • Patent number: 6940487
Abstract: An input unit having mouse functions is disclosed. The input unit is convenient for carrying and for storing in a notebook-sized personal computer. It has a reclosable finger support section, an open-close member having a switch and an open-close member having a switch on a plate-like main unit, and is operated as a mouse by sandwiching the finger support section between the forefinger and the middle finger. When it is not used, it is rendered plate-like by folding the finger support section, the open-close members so as to be stored in an IC card slot of the notebook-sized personal computer.

  • Publication number: 20040105566
Abstract: An ear-hanging type speakerphone unit that allows users to listen to both sounds from the speaker and sounds from the outside environment, while suppressing leakage of the sounds emanating from the speaker to the outside environment, is provide for. A directional speaker is adjustably held with its speaker face being, for example, approximately 1 to 2 cm. away from the opening of an external auditory miatus, such that an open air space is formed between the speaker face and the opening of the miatus.

  • Publication number: 20020063639
Abstract: It is reported that more than half a million souls are lost per year due to traffic accidents throughout the world. These losses have been a very serious topic. Until now, no one could understand or supervise a driver's driving behavior, unless a supervisor was with him in the same vehicle. By the use of recent computer and communication technologies, we invented a system based on our safe driving theory, for a supervisor from a remote place to supervise and train drivers to drive safely. A computer in a vehicle obtains information concerning the driver's driving behavior by sensors in the vehicle and sends it to a supervisor outside of the vehicle. The supervisor can recognize unsafe behavior and train the driver in safe driving.

  • Patent number: 5679013
Abstract: An open/close type connector having a base member, a cover member, and an electronic apparatus of a card type or a personal computer type using the connector. The connector is thin so that when it is not used, i.e., is not connected with a modular plug the portability of the card is not lost. In addition, less restriction is introduced on the attachment position at which the connector is attached to the card or the personal computer. A link is used for opening and closing the cover member. Structure for enhancing the stability and the electrical connection reliability when a modular plug is mounted on the connector is provided, and the base member and the cover member are adapted to be rotatable so that they can be relatively opened or closed thereby yielding a connector which can be preferably adopted by an electronic apparatus of a card type.
