    Abstract: A low-sulfur coal production method having an excellent desulfurization effect includes bringing coal into contact with a chemical material that is a mixed solution of hydrogen peroxide and acetic anhydride to remove sulfur in the coal. It is preferred that the molar ratio of the acetic anhydride to the hydrogen peroxide is 0.5 to 12.0 inclusive. It is preferred that the acetic anhydride is mixed with the hydrogen peroxide before the chemical material is brought into contact with the coal and the chemical material is brought into contact with the coal after 10 minutes or more has elapsed since the mixing.

    Abstract: A method for producing low-sulfur coal having an excellent desulfurization effect. In the production method, coal is brought into contact with a chemical agent that is a mixed solution of hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid to remove sulfur in the coal. It is preferred that the molar ratio of the acetic acid to the hydrogen peroxide ((acetic acid)/(hydrogen peroxide)) is 1.2 to 60.0 inclusive. It is preferred that the acetic acid is mixed with the hydrogen peroxide before the chemical agent is brought into contact with the coal and the chemical agent is brought into contact with the coal after 30 minutes or more has elapsed since the mixing is performed.

Specifically, a method of separating and recovering metal elements that includes a first heating step of heating a DeNOx catalyst containing titanium, tungsten, vanadium and iron in a chlorine atmosphere, thereby removing the vanadium and the iron from the DeNOx catalyst, and a second heating step, performed after the first heating step, of heating the DeNOx catalyst in a chlorine atmosphere while the catalyst is exposed to a gas of a hydrocarbon compound (excluding CH4) or an oxygen-containing carbon compound, thereby volatilizing the tungsten and the titanium from the DeNOx catalyst, and recovering the tungsten and the titanium from the DeNOx catalyst.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method capable of producing hydrocomposites through the effective utilization of all of the components contained in iron and steel slag, while reducing the amount of slag waste. The invention also provides the hydrocomposites obtained by the method. The production method comprises: a mixture producing step by adding solid base to an iron and steel slag-containing starting material and mixing them to produce a mixture; a molten chips producing step by melting the mixture obtained in the mixture producing step at a temperature within the range of 100-1000° C. to produce molten chips; and a hydrocomposite producing step by adding the molten chips obtained in the molten chips producing step to a solvent to produce a solution and then producing a hydrocomposite from the solution.
