  • Patent number: 7881400
Abstract: A pulse modulation type transmitter apparatus and a pulse modulation type receiver apparatus wherein both a fast synchronization establishment and a low power consumption of a synchronizing part can be achieved at the same time and wherein the data transmission/reception can be performed soon after a commencement of communication, and further a fast data transmission and a low power consumption can be achieved. A first template signal (1006), which is generated based on a separately transmitted RF frame synchronization signal (1005), is used to generate a frame synchronization signal (1009), and a second frame synchronization timing adjusting part (150) is used to synchronize the frame synchronization signal (1009) with a received RF data signal (1004). Then, a synchronization detection is performed, whereby a prompt pulse acquisition and a prompt pulse phase acquisition can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7822159
Abstract: A master side communication apparatus and a slave side communication apparatus wherein the structure of a receiving part of the slave side communication apparatus is simplified to achieve a reduced size, a reduced power consumption and a reduced cost. The master side communication apparatus performs a communication in synchronism with the slave side communication apparatus having no synchronization timing adjusting function. A transport signal generating timing adjusting part of the master side communication apparatus acquires, from the slave side communication apparatus, synchronization signal generation timing information used when the slave side communication apparatus receives the transport signal from the master side communication apparatus. The transport signal generating timing adjusting part varies and adjusts, based on the acquired information, the transmission timing of the signal to be transmitted to the slave side communication apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20100166037
Abstract: A UWB transmission apparatus that, in a system using a mixture of amplitude and phase modulation schemes, can support both of the amplitude and phase modulation schemes, while preventing the signal powers of amplitude-modulated signals from degrading. In this UWB transmission apparatus, if the modulation mode is of QPSK, a mapping part (121) selects one of four signal points on the IQ plane in accordance with a 2-bit data, and outputs information related to the I- and Q-components of the selected signal point to a QPSK/ASK modulated signal forming part (122). If the modulation mode is of ASK, the mapping part (121) selects the origin point on the IQ plane when the data being ‘0’ and selects one of four signal points on the IQ plane, similarly to the case of QPSK modulation, when the data being ‘1,’ and outputs information, which is related to the selected signal point, to the QPSK/ASK modulated signal forming part (122).

  • Patent number: 7683960
Abstract: An imaging portion of an imaging apparatus according to the present invention has a cover glass adhered by an adhesive to an imaging surface side of a CCD in a state of sandwiching leads (adhesion area B1), and has a slight airtight air gap formed on the imaging surface side of the CCD so as to render a circumference of the cover glass larger than the CCD. As for a circuit board, a concave portion for accommodating the CCD is formed, and a periphery of the cover glass is adhered to a top surface of the circuit board by the adhesive (adhesion area B2). Thus, the air gap is doubly sealed so that its airtightness is improved and influence of temperature change is reduced so as to prevent condensation on a back side of the cover glass and so on.

  • Publication number: 20100070828
Abstract: A transmitter apparatus wherein a simple structure is used to successfully suppress the degradation of error rate performance that otherwise would be caused by fading or the like. There are included encoding parts (11—1-11—4) that encode transport data; a mapping part (3304) that performs such a mapping that encoded data sequentially formed by the encoding parts (11—1-11—4) are not successively included in the same symbol, thereby forming data symbols; and a symbol interleaver (3301) that interleaves the data symbols. In this way, a low computational complexity can be used to perform an interleaving process equivalent to a bit interleaving process to effectively improve the reception quality at a receiving end.

  • Publication number: 20100040168
Abstract: A transmitting apparatus, receiving apparatus and communication system are disclosed, and great improvement in an S/N ratio, preventing an actual throughput from decreasing, and preventing the number of circuits for synchronizing spread spectrum signals from increasing can be expected at the receiving apparatus side. The transmitting apparatus includes a pulse generating circuit, pulse repetition cycle determining circuit, peak power determining circuit, and modulator. The pulse generating circuit generates pulse strings, pulse repetition cycle determining circuit determines, based on a clock signal, a pulse repetition cycle of the pulse string generated by the pulse generating circuit. The peak power determining circuit determines a pulse peak power of the pulse string. The modulator modulates the pulse string with transmission data, and then generates a transmission signal.

  • Publication number: 20100020864
Abstract: A pulse transmitting device is provided to avoid interference between pulses due to multipath influence even in a high speed pulse transmission that is typical of a UWB by making use of a relatively simple method and to improve receiving quality. In the device, a pulse adjusting unit (110) generates pulses in response to transmitting data, a non-use interval setting unit (120) sets up a non-use interval where the pulses generated by the pulse adjusting unit (110) are not transmitted on the basis of a delay time that a delayed pulse caused by the multipath delays from a main pulse and takes until arriving at a communication partner. A pulse position adjusting unit (130) adjusts a pulse position not to transmit the pulses during the non-use pulse interval. An RF transmitting unit (140) converts the pulse, the position of which is adjusted by the pulse position adjusting unit, to a wireless frequency band and transmits a pulse wireless signal after the conversion to the communication partner.
