    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display apparatus includes: an image display panel including a plurality of pixels and displaying an image; and a signal processor generating a second signal by multiplying signal values for a plurality of sub-pixels making up each of the plurality of pixels by a gain, the signal values being included in a first signal that is an input signal of the image. The the signal processor calculates a luminance of each of the plurality of pixels based on the signal values of the sub-pixels included in the respective pixels. The signal processor increases the gain by which the signal values of the sub-pixels of the pixel having a luminance greater than a first luminance threshold are multiplied, in accordance with the luminance of the corresponding pixel.

    Abstract: A horn antenna for radiating or receiving a microwave is provided with a plurality of axially spaced radial fins fixedly mounted on the outer surface of the horn, which fins form a plurality of radial grooves and a front axial groove each having a depth of approximately equal to a quarter of a wavelength of the microwave. Those fins and grooves form a choke surface-wave structure which improves the radiation pattern and reduces undesired radiation and side lobe. A multimode horn arrangement for a higher frequency wave is employed for the horn so that two different frequency waves are efficiently radiated or received at a single horn antenna with a reduced side lobe and an excellent cross polarization characteristic.

    Abstract: A sheet film is produced from a tubular thermoplastic resin film by cooling a molten tubular film of crystalline thermoplastic resin, for example, polypropylene, extruded downward from an annular die in direct contact simultaneously with cooling liquids on the outside and inside of the film, the cooling liquid on the outside being in an outside cooling liquid tank and in contact with the outside of the film and the cooling liquid on the inside flowing down along the surface of a mandrel provided through the outside cooling liquid tank and in contact with the inside of the film, a liquid level of the cooling liquid on the inside being kept higher by 5-15 mm than that of the cooling liquid on the outside; cutting open length wise one or two side ends of the film just before being flattened and folded by nip rolls thereby to discharge the cooling liquid from the inside; and removing the liquid attached to the surfaces of the resulting sheet films withdrawn by the nip rolls promptly.
