    Abstract: In order to estimate a temperature of a transmission-reception wavefront of a probe head, a first computing unit and a second computing unit are provided. The first computing unit estimates a temperature TA of the transmission-reception wavefront according to a basic function based on an internal temperature T1, an ambient temperature T2, power consumption Ptotal (=Pic+Ptd), and any other parameter. The basic function is a linear function. The second computing unit estimates a temperature TB of the transmission-reception wavefront according to an auxiliary function based on a previously estimated temperature Tpre, an internal temperature difference ?T1, and any other, parameter. A selection unit selects any of the temperatures TA and TB depending on situations.

The present invention makes it possible to measure the stable isotope ratio, with a considerably higher accuracy than that of conventional methods, by measuring the ?13C of glutamic acid (amino acid) by elemental analysis-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (EA-IRMS) and measuring the ?15N by gas chromatography-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS). In addition, the present invention makes it possible to determine the origin of glutamic acid (amino acid) by comparing the stable isotope ratio of the glutamic acid (amino acid) whose origin is unclear with the stable isotope ratio of glutamic acid (amino acid) whose origin is clear.

Also provided is a testing method for diseases associated with abnormal glycosylation of dystroglycan. Specifically, provided is a therapeutic agent for diseases associated with abnormal glycosylation of dystroglycan, containing CDP-ribitol as an active ingredient. Ribitol-phosphate is important in the glycan structure of dystroglycan. In order for ribitol-phosphate to be incorporated into a dystroglycan glycan, a material therefor (sugar donor) is required. In the present invention, it has been found for the first time that CDP-ribitol serves as the sugar donor. It has been confirmed that the glycan of ISPD-deficient cells can be restored by administering CDP-ribitol. Thus, the present invention, which allows CDP-ribitol to be utilized for supplementation therapy, has been completed.
