    Abstract: In a hydraulic shock absorber for a vehicle, an annular support member is provided in a lower side of a portion to which a vehicle body side mounting member of a piston rod is fixed. A case cover is detachably provided around the vehicle body side mounting member and the annular support member. The case cover has a mounting portion which covers an outer shape of the vehicle body side mounting member. A tubular portion covers an outer periphery of the annular support member and extends to a lower side in an axial direction than the annular support member.
