Publication number: 20080090199Abstract: In the field of dental care, diagnoses have been and being made by means of X-ray images, visual observation, explorer, palpation, fluorometery, insertion of a pocket probe and observation, observation by means of a root canal meter and the use of a Doppler flood flowmeter. However, such diagnoses are invasive and not very clear and three-dimensional X-ray CT apparatus that are being used for diagnoses are very large and complex. Additionally, OCT apparatus for obtaining optical tomographys by using reflection light that are being used by ophthalmologists give rise to problems because of the profile of the detection probe and operability when such an apparatus is used in an oral cavity that contains hard tissues such as teeth and soft tissues such as gingiva for dental care. The present invention dissolves the above identified problems and provides a non-invasive and high resolution dental optical diagnostic apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2004Publication date: April 17, 2008Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA MORITA TOKYO SEISAKUSHOInventors: Kunitoshi Noguchi, Fumio Nishiyama, Kazunobu Ogawa, Yukinori Mihata, Masashi Shimamura, Shusuke Kimura

Patent number: 5976606Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)-containing tofu or soybean milk drink, or a dry powder thereof which does not influence taste even if a DHA-containing fish oil is incorporated at a high concentration, which is stable and of which starting materials are inexpensive. A DHA-containing fish oil emulsion is prepared by mixing soybean milk with a DHA-containing fish oil at a weight ratio of 1:0.2 to 1, and stirring the mixture. Then, soybean milk drink can be produced by further diluting this emulsion with soybean milk to give a predetermined DHA concentration. Still further, DHA-containing tofu can be produced by coagulating the soybean milk containing this emulsion with the addition of a coagulant. Since the same soybean milk as the starting material of tofu or soybean milk drink is used as an emulsifying agent, such a product is obtained that even if DHA is contained at a high concentration, this does not influence a taste or properties of the product.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1998Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignees: Janiftec, Inc., Asahi Food Processing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kenji Koga, Kazunobu Ogawa, Yoshitaka Nadachi, Makoto Karishu, Kohta Hatano, Yasuzo Uchida

Patent number: 5541238Abstract: Disclosed is a fiber of an organic, inorganic or metallic material or a simple substance wherein ultrafines of an inorganic or metallic material or a simple substance having an average particle diameter of 0.005-1 .mu.m are uniformly dispersed and deposited on 8-90% of the surface in a single layer. The fiber is produced by exposing a fiber of an organic, inorganic or metallic material or a simple substance to a gaseous stream forming ultrafines of an inorganic or metallic material or a simple substance by a vapor phase process, thereby contacting said ultrafines in the gaseous stream with said fiber in a state wherein the ultrafines are still active. The treated fiber is useful as a reinforcing material for a fiber reinforced composite.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1993Date of Patent: July 30, 1996Assignees: Nisshin Flour Milling Co., Ltd., Kaoru Umeya, Ryobi LimitedInventors: Yukiyoshi Yamada, Tadashi Fuyuki, Eisuke Kuroda, Satoshi Akiyama, Naoto Tonoike, Kaoru Umeya, Kazunobu Ogawa, Kazuya Miyazaki, Hitoshi Nagasaka
