    Abstract: A cutting machine for napped cloth prevents fray and dropout of fabric during cutting, and inhibits shortening of the life of a cutter. An interconnected body formed by a plurality of metallic body plates interconnected by a long light shielding ribbon with adhesive, formed by applying a sealing agent and an adhesive on a surface opposite a napped surface of a napped cloth having a single napped surface, is conveyed by a conveying means. The interconnected body is conveyed so that a void area between adjacent metallic body plates is positioned at a predetermined cutting position between lower and upper receiving surfaces. The light shielding ribbon with adhesive is sandwiched and fastened from both sides by a fastener part, and then this light shielding ribbon with adhesive is cut by advancing a cutter through a cutting part from the napped surface side.

    Abstract: A molded product is made by a process including a step of breaking a waterproof paper for printing paper to give a mixture of cellulose fibers and a polyolefin resin. The waterproof paper is obtained by laminating a base paper produced for printing paper with the polyolefin resin. An additional thermoplastic resin is added to the mixture if necessary. The mixture is then molded so that the ratio by weight of the base-paper-derived cellulose fibers to the total of the polyolefin resin and the additional thermoplastic resin is in the range of 51:49 to 75:25. A moisture-proof container for a light-sensitive material is also produced from a container and a moisture-proof lining layer that are molded so that the ratio by weight of base-paper-derived cellulose fibers to the total thermoplastic resins is in the range of 51:49 to 75:25. The container may comprise an antioxidant and an aldehyde-neutralizing agent.

    Abstract: A photographic film cartridge includes a light-shielding cloth. The light-shielding cloth is subjected to napping with a coarse napping machine and then napping with a fine napping machine. The napping machines have napper rollers including a pile roller and a counter roller. The rotational speed of the pile roller of the fine napping machine is higher than that of the pile roller of the coarse napping machine, and the rotational speed of the counter roller of the coarse napping machine is higher than that of the counter roller of the fine napping machine. The napping is carried out so that the cloth thickness obtained by the fine napping machine is less than the cloth thickness obtained by the coarse napping machine. A further napping is carried out using the fine napping machine so that the cloth thickness is greater than that obtained by the coarse napping machine.

    Abstract: A molded product for a light-sensitive material has a component ratio by weight of paper-derived cellulose fibers to the total of thermoplastic resins in the range of 51:49 to 75:25 and includes at least one antioxidant, and at least one aldehyde-neutralizing agent. A light-sensitive material package is formed from the molded product and a light-sensitive material that is used with the molded product. Furthermore, a process for producing the molded product includes mixing a thermoplastic resin having a melt flow rate of at least 15 g/10 min. with pellets formed by breaking, compressing and granulating a base paper produced for printing paper, so that the component proportions are 51 to 75 parts by weight of paper-derived cellulose fibers and 49 to 25 parts by weight of the total of the thermoplastic resins, and then molding the mixture at a cylinder temperature of 180° C. or less.

    Abstract: An instant photo film pack has a pack body, which has a small thickness and has first and second walls opposed to each other, and contains a stack of plural self-developing photo film units. An exposure opening is formed in the first wall, and provides each of the photo film units with an exposure. An exit slit is formed in the pack body, disposed in an advancing direction, for exiting each of the photo film units. A light-shielding cover sheet closes the exposure opening in a light-tight manner, to be exited through the exit slit by an external operation. Two dimple-formed deformed portions are disposed on the light-shielding cover sheet to project toward the photo film units, and prevents a first photo film unit among the photo film units from passing the exit slit while the light-shielding cover sheet is exited, the first photo film unit being directly behind the light-shielding cover sheet.

The mask sheet has a mask portion, first and second bendback edge portions defined by being bent along first and second bend lines, and an aperture. The developing solution pod contains developing solution and is squeezed and enclosed between the first bendback edge portion and the mask portion. After the photosensitive sheet is exposed, the developing solution is spread from the developing solution pod between the photosensitive sheet and the cover sheet while being regulated between the first and second spacer rail members. The trap member is squeezed and enclosed between the second bendback edge portion and the mask portion, and captures a surplus part of the developing solution after the developing solution is spread.

The light-shielding flap has first, second and third predetermined adhering regions, at least which are coated with adhesive agent and attached to the pack case. The light-shielding flap has first and second longer side lines and first and second shorter side lines. The first adhering region has a linear shape and extends along the first longer side line. The second and third adhering regions have a dot shape, and are disposed respectively at the first and second shorter side lines. The outlet slit is disposed between the second and third adhering regions.

    Abstract: In manufacturing a photo film cassette, a disk producing apparatus includes a web supplier which conveys the web from a web roll to the web conveyor. The web conveyor includes two chains which convey the web in an intermittent fashion, and which include pointed portions which serially penetrate an edge portion of the web. A heater disposed upstream from the web conveyor heats the edges of the web. At the heating/forming unit, a heating plate is lowered toward the web at the same time as the female mold is raised toward the web, and the web is squeezed between them before the heating and vacuum/air pressure forming takes. Clampers/coolers disposed upstream and downstream from the heating plate and female mold squeeze the web in fixed fashion to prevent wrinkles on the web. A web/sheet cutter device includes an upper punch above the web and a lower die under the web, which squeeze the web, and cut the web into a sheet having a plurality of disk-like portions.

A ring-like lip (11) is formed integrally with a periphery of the first disk, projected toward the roll, contacted on one edge of an outermost turn of the roll, and prevents the roll from being loosened. In a disk producing method, a sheet (21) of thermoplastic resin is heated and softened. Pressurization and/or suction is applied to the heated sheet to fit the sheet on a mold (23d), so as to form a pattern (19, 31, 58, 60) on the sheet. The pattern includes first and second groups of disk-like portions (19) and positioning portions (31, 58, 60) associated with the disk-like portions.

A positioning pin (112) is fitted on the positioning portion of the sheet being supplied, for positioning the sheet. An upper blade group (106) includes 12 upper blades (110, 111). An lower blade group (107) includes 12 lower blades (114, 115). The upper and lower blade groups squeeze 12 of the disk-like portions while the sheet is positioned by the positioning device, for punching the axial hole and a contour of the disk, to obtain 12 disks. A vacuum pump (152) is caused by a valve (156) to suck the 12 disks on the upper blade group, to remove the 12 disks from the sheet.

    Abstract: A package for a film cartridge has a carton enclosing an inner holder which contains a sealed film product. The carton has a tab which is secured to a tab on the inner holder, so that both the inner holder and the carton are torn away at the same time along a tear line formed on the carton, when pulling the carton tab. In another embodiment, the inner holder has an upper and lower portion, and is enclosed within a central rectangular opening of a mount by two pieces of paperboard. There is a notch where the mount and the lower portion of the inner holder overlap, and a tear line is formed in connection with the notch on the mount, so that both the inner holder and the carton are torn away at the same time along the tear line.

    Abstract: A package for a film cartridge comprises a paperboard carton and a wrapper. A main body of the wrapper is housed in a film cartridge housing part of the carton. A sealing part is held between two pieces of paperboard forming a hanging part. A tongue-shaped tab is formed at a sealing part in a direction in which the wrapper extends. The tab projects toward outside from an aperture which is formed at the hanging part. Tear lines 32, 32 are formed on a rear wall of the carton. When the tab is pulled in a tear-out direction, the film cartridge housing part is torn out along the tear lines, and the main body of the wrapper is also torn out at the same time.
