  • Patent number: 6094957
Abstract: A method is provided for bending a difficult-to-work metallic wire into a complicated profile. A predetermined length of the difficult-to-work metallic wire is prepared. Part of a portion thereof is held by a conductive clamping device. A first conductive pressure member is brought into contact with a first bending work position of the workpiece, while applying a predetermined pressing force thereto, electric power is supplied between the first member and the clamping device via the wire. Thereby, the wire is bent by a predetermined amount, which part of the wire thus bent by the predetermined amount is located on a conductive rod having a circular cross-section. A second conductive pressure member is brought into contact with a second bending work position of the wire, while applying a constant pressing force to the second member, electric power is supplied between the second member and the conductive rod via the wire.

  • Patent number: 5841217
Abstract: In a surface mounting crystal unit comprising a quartz plate, a receptacle-like terminal member holding the quartz plate therein in such a way as to enable it to oscillate, and a lid covering an opening of the terminal member, the quartz plate is prepared in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and disposed such that one or both of shorter sides of the quartz plate at its both ends can be fixedly attached to flat surface portions of the terminal member with an electrically conductive adhesive of high plasticity so that the impact of a drop is buffered by the adhesive. A likelihood of any leakage is minimized by airtight bonding of the lid to the opening of the terminal member with an inorganic material such as a solder, and the like. Furthermore, crystal impedance is lowered by producing a vacuum inside the terminal member airtightly bonded by the lid.

  • Patent number: 5378557
Abstract: In a film type battery comprising a generating element which is formed by laminating a negative active material, an electrolyte and a positive active material into a layer shape, (1, 2, 3), terminal plates (5, 6) which are installed on and under the generating element and serve also as a current collector and a container, and a frame-shaped sealing material (4) which is installed on peripheral edges of the terminal plates, seals the generating element in between the both terminal plates and insulates one terminal plate from the other; the sealing material is improved. For example, the sealing material is formed into a vertical-type multi-layer structure, in which at least one layer is composed of a layer (41, 42) comprising metal and the other layer (43) is composed of an electric insulator. Thereby, a mechanical strength of the sealing material or a battery becomes large and the battery becomes hard to be bent.

  • Patent number: 4213186
Abstract: The prior D.D.A. (Digital Differential Analyzer) having an integrand register, a remainder register and an adder for pulse interpolation has been improved by attaching some new units to the same, including a counter for counting the reference instruction pulses, a register for storing the content of the counter, and a multiplier for providing the product of the content of said register and the content of said integrand register. The product provided by the multiplier instead of the output of the integrand register, is applied to one input of the adder, the other input of which receives the output of said remainder register. Thus, the interpolation calculation has only to be performed once in every several periods of the instruction pulses, therefore, a slow speed digital element can be utilized for high speed instruction calculation.
