  • Patent number: 10280907
Abstract: The present invention prevents a gas generated by evaporating a low-temperature liquid from remaining in an internal space of a booster pump and enhances efficiency of discharge and suction. A reciprocating booster pump 50 includes a cylinder 41, a piston 42, a suction check valve 65, and a discharge check valve 62. The cylinder 41 has a suction port 55 and a discharge port 56. The suction port 55 suctions a low-pressure, low-temperature liquid to an inside. The discharge port 56 boosts the low-temperature liquid and discharges the low-temperature liquid to an outside. The piston 42 reciprocates in an internal space 43 of the cylinder. The suction check valve 65 opens and closes a suction flow passage 64 between the internal space and the suction port. The discharge check valve 62 opens and closes a discharge flow passage 61 between the internal space and the discharge port.

  • Publication number: 20080255489
Abstract: A knee-ankle-foot orthosis in accordance with the present invention can smoothly shift from the stance phase to the swing phase thereof. Namely, the knee-ankle-foot orthosis capable of securely locking a patient's knee in a desired angular position thereof with a load of his body weight, and immediately shifting his knee to the unlocked state without requiring any extra motion when the load disappears is provided. As shown in FIG. 1, the speed of the rotation of a knee axis gear 23 adapted to transmit the rotation of a knee axis 21 is increased by eight times with a speed increasing gear train 25, and is transmitted to a brake drum 41. A wire 31 wound around the brake drum 41 is connected to first and second levers 27 and 28 as load detecting members. When a foot holding portion 18 contacts the ground and the first lever 27 is stepped down, the wire 31 is pulled downwardly with a load of his body weight, whereby brakes are applied.

  • Patent number: 6055029
Abstract: Since a backlighting apparatus 1 for liquid crystal display is constituted such that a light guiding plate 2 and a frame 3 are molded together as a single unit provided with a deformation relaxation design, an attaching unit and parts, such as attaching feet and screws, for attaching the light guiding plate 2 to the frame 3 are not required, thereby making it possible to reduce the thickness and size of the backlighting apparatus 1 for liquid crystal display which has been restricted by the sizes of these parts.

  • Patent number: 5779339
Abstract: A surface light source apparatus is constituted such that an overhang portion overhanging a light source is provided on part of an end surface where the light source of an optical guide plate is arranged in such a manner that it is flush with the front surface of the optical guide plate and that an incident light control unit formed from a resin for diffusing and attenuating light is provided integratedly on at least an overhang portion side out of the overhang portion and the end surface of the optical guide plate, and accordingly light from the light source is transmitted through the overhang portion, radiated in an illumination direction, and diffused and attenuated by the incident light control unit to equalize the amount of light so that it can be used as illumination light. Thereby, the total area of the light emitting portions is increased.
